1. How did Prof x become paralyzed?

Well, there's been at least three instances where he's become paralyzed, with being somehow healed inbetween. My memory is a bit vague, but the first time was when he led an uprising against a local tyrant somewhere around middle east. The baddie in question was some kind of extraterrestrial and he triggered a trap on Xavier which dropped a big block of stone, crushing is lower body.

If I remember correctly, Charles was later infected by the Brood and in order to save him the Shi'Ar cloned him a new body and transferred his consciousness into it. Thus he regained the use of his legs. And lost it again when the Shadow King crushed his legs (and probably broke his spine) telekinetically.

Next Xorn with his nifty powers healed Charles when he had been badly injured in the whole Cassandra Nova incident. So once again the legs work. Later it was revealed that Xorn was actually Magneto in disguise (whom everyone thought dead... again) and he had actually used Sentinel nanobots that Cassandra unleashed on the X-Men and set them up to relay nerve signals past the severed spinal nerves. So Magneto simply let go and no more walkie-Charlie.

I don't know much to answer the other questions with.

you'd think they'd get Polaris to keep him walking

You really want that whacko in charge of keeping you walking? If it were still possible, Magneto should be doing it with him on Genosha right now. But I think Xorneto destroyed the nano sentinels, so it shouldn't be possible to do it anymore.

The Shi'Ar brought Phoenix back from the dead in outer space and tried to kill her by scattering her into tiny bits, so she came back to earth all weakened to get her body, which was still dead, reanimated it, had Wolverine kill her a few times to get her head clear, fed on Cyclops energy beams, realized she and Jean really are the same woman, got attacked by the Shi'Ar a second time and then faded away. She's not really alive, but not really dead. Just like always...

Prior to that, Jean and Wolverine were headed for the sun on an asteroid and couldn't get off the rock in New X-Men 148, and they start to die, so Wolverine puts her out of her misery by impaling her, then he walks out to face the sun and she opens her eyes. In New X-Men 150, we see that killing her, combined with the solar radiatio, like last time, unleashed the Phoenix, but she told us she wasn't sure how long she could stay. They get back to earth to face Xorneto and after a nice little flash and dash, he pumps her full of electromagnetic energy and fries her. She stays dead until Endsong.

In the AOA arc can Wolverine's claws come out of his severed hand?

I personally didn't see why not, but no- Wolverine's Claws wheere never shown coming out of his severed hand. *darn!*

Actually, he did in Weapon X #4, I believe. He just prefered to keep it as an ace up his sleeve.

The hand was cut off by Cyclops' (who is a bad guy in AoA) beam. A popular theory seems to be that while it didn't dent the adamantium it tore away the hand from the wrist joint (dozens of small bones there). The hand regrowing was pretty effectively stopped by a steel "cap" on the stump. Why they put that on, I don't know. Maybe there would be some complications with a natural bone hand on an otherwise adamantium-laced skeleton.

Don't know if it should go here.

Why can Claremont write in such a good way on Excailbur yet terrible on Uncanny? (I've been reading since reloaded and he has managed to do the same story about three time Chasing HellFire was good).

He kept the 'cap' on to keep his hand from re growing as a reminder of why he left the X-men or something like that.

Why did Rahne have dark skin and hair around the time she was in the government-sponsored X-Factor?

Rahne joined X-Factor just after she had been turned into a mutate in Genosha, if she reverted to her human form she would have been a mindless zombie so she had to stay in wolf form, which ranged from semi wolf form (face covered in light brown fur with brown hair) to feral werewolf.

She was like this between issues 71-99 until haven cured her, and she went back to her pale ginger self

WHY OH WHY IS WANDA ALTERING THE WHOLE OF REALITY AND NOT MANIPULATING PROBABILITY ANYMORE? :xmen:

This can also be attributed to a discrepancy in how Wolverine's powers work. It has become, most recently, that he has regenerative powers (like a lizard, or the Lizard). This means he can grow back limbs and flesh, etc.

Before, he merely had an amped up healing factor (which all humans have, not amped up but a healing factor of a lesser degree). This means that if he is cut, shot, etc. the wound will heal faster. However, burning off all his flesh will kill him from shock. Blasting off his hand will leave it blasted off, there is not enough material for his body to grow it back.

Did nemesis/holocaust ever have a 616 counterpart?
And why is the normal marvel universe called 616?

Besides Rob Liefeld's craptacular art, was the X-Force mini worth reading? I only ask because I'm a huge Cable and Deadpool fan and I know it ties in with the next arc.

When Xavier first met Magneto he couldn't read his mind, even though he wasn't wearing anything on his head. Later on it's been said that the helmet shields Magneto from telepathy. What's the deal here?

Okay, another one by me: When Legion went back in time and ended up killing Xavier, why did all that M'kraan crystal stuff happen instead of the universe just splitting into another timeline?

Come on now, doesn't anybody have any answers for my questions?

Question about wolverine.
I read somewhere that wolverine regenerates from a drop of blood. (Written by Mark Millar). Is this true?

Retcon.

Because then it couldnt be 'real' like the House of M?

korican 04: He did once in an uncanny xmen annual (might be 11?)
But i dont think that was his healing powers i think it was the power of this daft crystal thingy!

That happened only though the HELP of some weird godlike power thing, it was in one of the X-Men annuals.... a glowing rock or orb?? when the blood hit it, the thing made a brand new Wolverine, naked of course!! *LOL*

The big bad of the issue was there and got pretty pissed about it!
