They could just start with a closeup of his eye(s), pan out, then fade out. Done.

I was watching X2 last night, and couldn't but be reminded how they seemed to go out of their way to make a fool of Cyclops or just under utilize him. I remember years back being turned off by that, and by the constant use of Wolverine.
Perfection.

This would be awesomeness.I agree 10000%

That's what was so disappointing about Singer's run. Wolverine was so central that nobody had any time to really shine. Cyclops biggest contribution was just shooting Magneto in the back.Yep that film it was it's worse sin was trying to tear him down so much. It wasn't just under development like Storm or Rogue (though both got an arc in that film, not him). The lengths they went to immaculate him were gross. Singers worst sin.
Biggest let down of the X series, other than the completely missed opportunity of having Colossus and Juggernaut in the same movie and not even having them meet. They did show they were setting him up for more in the sequel and we all know that didn't happen.

edit: Genuine question, do you only agree with the Leo guy because he is on your "side" thinking Disney is perfect and shouldn't be challenged or criticized?
Thanos looked pretty bad like a painted purple Bruce Willis.![]()
What? No. I just agree with him on that. And you are crazy if you think Thanos's CGI is messed up. It darn near looks flawless.

Well i guess both Willie Lumpkin and me are crazy because it wasn't and I still think it left much to be desired and he agrees.
Elements of the trailer came off as a little unfinished. With all of the leaks they had to put something together quickly to get ahead of it and control the momentum.I think the thing that bothered me most was when he was speaking. The words and lips didn't seem to sync up and there was something unnatural about it. When I watched it with no sound, it looked and felt better.

This is one of MANY Doom moments that needs to happen in the future after his own "homecoming" to the MCU...

I wouldn't get too worked up for any of it. They'll touch it all up before it releases in May.
Maybe the words and lips didn't sync up because the dialogue came from another part of the movie and they just showed an image of Thanos for the purpose of that particular scene. That often happens with trailers. I don't think the dialogue necessarily will match with what we see here in the final cut but might come from somewhere completely different.

Yeah, I thought the words were more of a narration then coming from a specific individual shown on screen.

I might have to watch it again with that in mind. Maybe mixing and matching sound with what was happening was the thing that really felt 'off' to me.
Yeah, I just watched it again and it looks like he might not even be speaking in the part that was bothering me. It might just be a pure voiceover.
Most of it was trailer narration from other scenes, the only time the lines were synced with the image was for about half a second when he took the stone from Vision.
EDIT. See your post above.
Yeah, it looked like Thanos might have said the word "But" for a split second or so before it switched screens and then reverted back to the narration where it finished the sentence "this does put a smile on my face". I think we might be over analyzing it though, I am sure most people would not even notice it.
