Yeah, Doom doesn't even need to be the big bad of the next film afterwards. We just need to know that he's out there in Latveria. He can make a small cameo appearance here and there like Thanos did as they build him up over several films.

I think that would get fans more excited than anything else they could possibly show, other than perhaps a flaming 4 in the sky, or maybe the sound of a ship crash landing and a gruff voice saying "what a revolting development!"

No dialog necessary. It would actually be inline with Thanos's reveal at the end of the first Avengers film.

That's kind of the problem, you know? Mid-credits scenes have established the Earth as in continual danger of destruction since the first Avengers. This would just be "Look! New IP lets us keep Earth in continual peril!", meaning no sense of closure.

Maybe they could bring back Ian McKellan? His hating green screen work rules out returning as Magneto for entire films, but they could do:
"Wanda?"
"You're alive! *hugs*"

I don’t mind if all this stuff and any hints start directly after Avengers 4.

No one crashes a craft like Ben Grimm. No One...

be better they hinted that Ben taught Carol Danvers and Everett Ross how to fly....
Much easier scene to hint, even at CM time frame... just Carol and Everett sharing a drink, reminiscing.

I would like to remind the crew that this is what Doom is to Fox:

And Galactus was just a cloud

Fox: The fans will never care... I mean, look what we are getting away with using a dude over 6 feet for Wolverine. They love that, right?

Fox only got two castings right... well, three if you count a Stan the Man cameo...

Ian as Magneto
Stewart as Prof X
Stan as Willie Lumpkin (and as himself being booted/velvet rope blocked at Reed and Sue's wedding)

I just need Galactus to strike fear into my heart. The way they portrayed Dormammu should be the prototype for a MCU Galactus.

Then when you think about geography, you guys are kinda right about things popping up out of nowhere. The whole time with them talking about Sokovia and Wakanda, why haven't they mentioned the goings on in Latveria or Genosha.

But I'm sure they'll find a way to connect the dots.

James Marsden was a good choice for Cyclops, imo. But completely and utterly wasted.

Kelsey Grammar as an older Beast wasn't a terrible idea either. The rest of that film was rife with bad choices though.

Geisha is a non-issue unless they make the huge mistake of starting with mature X-Men who have a decade of backstory. There are 5 adult mutants active and none are Genoshan: done.
Latveria may come out of nowhere, especially if they do Peyton Reed's 1960s F4.

Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool was great casting, but that was more Ryan forcing himself in there.

Marsden was an GREAT choice for the role. But he was completely wasted, Singer never tried to utilize him in any meaningful way. All he was was a foil to Logan; a jealous boyfriend.

Singer wasted everybody.

Unless you were a 15 year old boy or Wolverine he didn't care.

Luckily, Fox already recast Prof X and Magneto. So people are already used to them being played by different actors. It will make Marvel's reboot a little smoother. The only difficult one will be Wolverine as Hugh Jackman is synonymous to the character in the GA's mind, but even he is not irreplaceable.

Imagine if they keep him, but as an older, mellower (except when grading history papers) Professor Logan... some poor mutant kid will get traumatized for life when he gets back the claw-shredded paper he worked half a night on...

I’ll never forgive Singer or Fox for treating Cyclops like a complete chump

That’s the cardinal sin

I wouldn't mind Ioan Gruffudd as Professor X. He needs a good comic role. He could've actually been a good Reed Richards too as many of his other roles are more like Reed than how it was written in the Tim Story movies.

If he hadn't been Reed already, I would've suggested him as Reed.

The shareholder meeting is the final step of the deal being closed, right? Or is there something after?

There's still the step of Disney sending Comcast a statue of Mickey Mouse giving them the middle finger. :o

A few international markets have the approve it (definitely happening), and a federal judge has to approve the settlement Disney made with the DOJ to sell off Fox's RSN's (also definitely happening).

Once those take place, then they can close the deal.

For a company whose corporate symbol is Mickey Mouse, how come there hasn't been an animated movie of Mickey for years? Nor of Donald Duck, Pluto, Goofy, Minnie Mouse etc. You'd think that Disney would want to make one similar to the Peanuts movie by Fox.

Oh, and Disney would own Peanuts now. That's Charlie Brown and Snoopy in their sandbox.

Disney would also have their paws on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Wonder if they'd touch that....
