Hell what if Disney tried to buy Comcast?
That'd be a plot twist.

For the most part you can't, but given how badly Comcast wants Sky, Disney can twist their arm a bit to keep any such valuation at a reasonable level. The rights transfer would serve more as a means to bring Disney to the table.
Might Disney return the favor and push the cost up for Comcast? I know it sounds petty and tit for tat, but I'm just kind of that way.......seems like it would have been better for both companies if things could have been a little more, well, civil....Oh wait, I thinking that word existed in these sorts of situations...
Good start, 2kt09, but it seems too Torch-centric. Can you stretch the image out, then make it invisible?

And yeah, I can't believe it's this week, either!

The Gunn stuff is a big blow but these rights are permanent and long term. It could mean seeing 20 X-related films and a bunch of F4 related stuff within the MCU before I tap out, something that didnt look at all possible not so long ago. Nothings going to stop the celebrations on this one for me.

It's hard, not at all practical, and not especially ethical to try and 'thought police' your staff, but I'd think moving forward Disney might just be putting out a 'please watch your doing on social media and clean up your old crap if you have any' memo. From my extremely selfish FF-centric point of view, the whole Gunn thing is jarring from this perspective: Imagine we actually get to that point. We've got an FF film on the schedule, cast and crew are set, filming is scheduled to begin shortly... and then something stupid like that happens.![]()
The bizarre Cybernazi sponsored firing of Gunn has damped my enthusiasm for the Comcast deal as well. My biggest concern is the continued silence from Kevin Feige. If Kevin was onboard, why didn't he announce the firing? Did Horn make the call unilaterally, bypassing the Studio President? Did this rash decision create a rift? And, if so, will Feige look to move on when his contract is up next year?
I am confident in the integration of the FF and X-Men into the MCU with Kevin Feige at the helm of the studio. I would be a lot less confident with his replacement.
