Different strokes for different folks

But imo Doctor Strange fits with these guys better than Avengers

... yeah, see, the problem with that is that they'd turn a Doctor Strange sequel into an overstuffed garbage can.
Think of the quality material from the original Ditko/Lee DS run that we haven't seen yet: Mordo as a villain, Clea, the Eternity Saga, the Living Tribunal Saga. And Doctor Strange & Doom: Triumph and Torment would make much higher quality drama than the overstuffed adventures of Strange, a Fallen Angel on a motorcycle, Blade, a vampire and John Constantine.
Allowed to stand on his own with just Satan and mundane humans, a Ghost Rider film has the potential to make Fast & Furious money.
"Midnight Sons" would be rushing 3 different characters who have great solo stories into a garbage fire of a Doctor Strange sequel.

The MCU shows flawed or hindered by Ike's pennypincching are still leaps and bounds above DC shows. Marvel truly dominates live-action in both fronts.

But shifting conversation a bit, even if they leave Netflix, I don't think they will try them again as films. If these properties were seen with that in mind, then Marvel TV would not have been handed them. Another point, would we rather get Daredevil seasons faster, or a Daredevil movie once every like 5 years (especially once they have FF and X-Men)? Do you think Iron Fist would get a trilogy? TV is the best format for these characters. It allows them to be more adult and to not end up like Hulk in the MCU. I don't see them being rebooted as movies or anything of the sort. They would just end up on Hulu or something instead.

Yes, that's exactly what should happen. Continuing or rebooting these shows on a service Disney owns, one of only one or two where all their content is centralized, is the only hope they have of joining the FAANG. Having to go 5 different places to stream Disney-owned content would be a pants-on-head stupid business model when you can just copy Netflix.

Marvel has the Midas touch. They can make anything work.

I'll agree to disagree with you

Correct and the Marvel shows are to remain. Again, that is directly from the source. Everything I have seen/heard is consistent with that message. Iger mentioned R-rated movies are a possibility on one call I saw, but in regards to these specific shows, the message has been that they're on Netflix for the foreseeable future. Until I see otherwise, I am proceeding on the assumption that is the intention for them.

I'm actually willing to bet money that I'll be proven right and you'll be proven wrong on this. I never said the shows won't be on netflix for the foreseeable future, but the exclusivity window has an expiration date. I'm just not sure if current seasons will expire (meaning netflix won't even have the right to distribute them) or not. Future shows and seasons will undoubtedly move to Hulu post acquisition and synergy with the platform. If I'm wrong, I'll gladly pay up, or if you'd rather just publicly admit it here.

I do agree that some of these stories are better off on TV than movies, but Iger himself said that we could see some of these characters show up on the big screen or even have their own movies, so it's not out of the question. My personal preference would be the shows continue for these characters and some big events are told over a 2 hour movie.

Don't you think that maybe a little too much like Runaways? Albeit just set in the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters.
Well, Generation X isn't set in Charles' school - Banshee and Emma were the ones who trained and tutored the kids. I'm unfamiliar with Runaways.

They'd have to change the roster and remove a couple of characters (Jubilee, Emma, Leech etc) because they might be saved for the MCU but I think it would be a cool show. It's very similar to New Mutants while not being New Mutants so that saves the NM franchise for the MCU somewhere down the road

We'll see. If the exclusivity expires, it won't happen for a few years yet likely.

My preference would be keep their solo outings as shows, and maybe allow them to be in the occasional MCU film when it makes sense. I don't want to see a Daredevil movie at this point. But I am perfectly happy if Matt Murdock ends up as somebodies lawyer in a future movie or something (and definitely my preference is the TV actors get to be in the movie as well). I am also okay if they want to try what Defenders wanted to be in a Hulu exclusive movie or something. Unless they want to go big and make that a theatrical movie, but Hulu may make more sense as to not confuse the audience.

Anything? Even an Avengers sequel where Ant-Man and the Wasp have to save the world by themselves because the rest of the Avengers have diarrhea, and they each get more than a cameo appearance on the toilet?

I'm curious what will happen with Spider-Man after they release the Graduation film in Summer 2021. How long of a new contract would Sony sign with Disney and Tom Holland, and where would Disney use him? Just Avengers 5 & 6?

If the Avengers Alliance game had still been available on Facebook, we could've gotten Silver Surfer finally. Maybe Namor too if things with Universal had been sorted out.

If the movies are successful, then maybe more solo films and Avengers appearances. 6-picture contract.

There's also Venom - if that movie is successful and Sony has newfound confidence, that could be a problem too.

Why do you think it would be another 6-picture contract if Sony signs at all? A contract for only one more Sony film and one more teamup wouldn't look like good faith, but I can see negotiating 4 at a time until either Sony wants to stop or Holland says "This is getting exhausting."

If the Venom flick is successful there's a reasonable chance Sony will threaten to pull Spidey to appear in that universe. Feige may look at all the new characters he has available and wish them good luck.

Because that's the contract Holland signed last time. 3 solo films, 3 Avengers films.

I hope he doesn't, hopefully he follows through on his wish of playing Spidey until he's 30
