The X-Men will not become part of the MCU.
Once the merger go through, Walt Disney Company will keep Fox Studios as a separate entity from Walt Disney Studios, meaning all licensing contracts will stay in place.
Keven Fiege and Marvel Studios won’t be able to get they hands on the X-Men, even though they will have the same parent company.
Right now WD Studios, Marvel Studios, Pixar and Lucasfilms are all do specialise productions.
Disney wants a conventional studio with a more broad appear, in other words Disney wants a studio that is not specialise in a narrow theme. A studio that will make a variety of films like action, scifi, horror, drama, comedies and R rated movies.
So Deadpool fans, you have nothing to be worried about, you’ll still get your R rated Deadpool.

“We have the opportunity to expand iconic franchises for new generations of fans just as we have done with Marvel and Star Wars... We’re also looking forward to expanding the Marvel Cinematic Universe to include X-Men, Fantastic Four and Deadpool." - Bob Iger

Your welcome :)

Ok, I have to ask. Who is this "Drunken Rider" who keeps showing up in this thread recently? Is it Hunter Rider's less sober brother?

Mods, whatever you do, please don't ban this user until we have official confirmation of the X-Men joining the MCU. I want to see his reaction when that happens. :oldrazz:

None of the FFINO defenders should've been banned. If they could've held their **** together long enough, they would be around now to see things.

I must see the level of mental gymnastics performed when it is announced that we get all these characters in the MCU

The phrase “separate entities” always makes for a good laugh in these conversations

Which markets? Is China one of them?

If they want to see the FF and X-Men in the MCU as soon as possible, they'll hurry it up.
Europe, Central & South America, India, Pacific, etc.

Because he knows better than Bob Iger:

And the Walt Disney company ITSELF
The agreement also provides Disney with the opportunity to reunite the X-Men, Fantastic Four and Deadpool with the Marvel family under one roof and create richer, more complex worlds of inter-related characters and stories that audiences have shown they love.*

Not related to this Hunter Rider fella you mention. I'm checking this thread for some juicy details. I'm basically a thread lurker. I lurk these threads in the shadows.

Of course. Why Disney would want to keep some of the richest and most important characters from the Marvel Universe as separated properties, instead of integrating them with the other amazing characters from the biggest movie franchise of all and giving birth to endless possibilities of stories for even greater movies from the MCU?

It makes sense.:woot:

Welcome. And feel free to ask some questions. You'll get better details if you engage. We've been analysing the IP rights and the whole acquisition etc for years. This might actually be one of the most specialised places on the net for doing that.

Hunter Rider is one of the mods btw.

I will admit im skeptical the xmen will join the mcu. We know the F4 will. But id say xmen is still a coin toss. Yes it will happen eventually but i think theyll wait and see how dark phoenix does and get deadpool 3 out. I wonder if Fox put something in writing that says disney and marvel studios must wait a certain amount of time before integrating the xmen. Or they have to at least consider merging the mcu with the fox verse.

The xmen universe is so large it could be its own universe with the f4. With the odd avengers crossover

His excuse was that Disney must keep Fox as it's own entitity in order to get approved because of horizontal merger

Fox will still probably exist but it will be under the disney umbrella like marvel studios and lucasfilm and pixar which will still give marvel studios access to xmen and f4.

Fox will still exist but in a more reduced form where the rights for X-Men and Fantastic Four will be pulled away from them and transferred to Marvel Studios.

We need all the FFINO’ers to come back for one last ride

I will not be satisfied until I hear at least one more insightful comment about a fantastic four movie not being made without the approval of Constantin films

Constantin ....... *sigh*

The fact that so many believed(and maybe still believe) that myth still bothers me. Maybe more than it should. :whatever:

Where are the mods why are we letting misinformation spread.

Iger the CEO of Disney literally said the X-Men will join the MCU alongside Fantastic Four & Deadpool.

X-Men and the F4 are joining the MCU. Once merger is finalized TPTB will have full control and have absolutely no reason to not have this happen.

I am hoping that Disney does keep TCF as a separate brand and release certain movies from there (as that intro and logo are classic and Star Wars should always have it) but if people think that the Marvel properties are either going to be stuck there somehow or kept there buy choice, well then they have a rude awakening coming.

For real this compgar guy is spamming the same paragraph in multiple threads.

Let the "FoX-Men: The Last Stand" begin.

Kind of a surreal moment. After this the MCU is basically complete. Just those pesky spiderman rights to sort out and hulk and namor.

Earlier this month, Christopher McQuarrie made it clear that he's soured on the idea of helming a superhero movie thanks to toxic fans but it appears as if he's now warmed to the idea.
