This timeline seems reasonable.

1. Mexico approves later this month
2. Stock election ends on the 28th
3. Brazil approves on the 30th when CADE reconvenes
4. Disney close the deal on the 31st
5. Legal day one occurs on the first weekend in February, either the 2nd or 3rd.

Great news! Especially since Brazil has been so intractable about the deal. I’d say it’s almost a certainty at this point the deal closes January-February.

Literally just came from Target and you'd be shocked to see all the X-Men shirts they have now. To think it only took Disney to buy Fox and then BOOM we get all of this cool merch again.

It's funny how fast marvel starts to push properties that will be in the lime light through their merch. I remember back In 2012 or 13 I still lived at home and it was christmas and my youngest sister had gotten a marvel sweater with the classic 70's looking characters on it. And she didnt know who most of them were so I looked at it and had to explain who Dr. Strange, Black panther, Ms. Marvel, black bolt, iron fist, daredevil, medusa, and Luke cage were. I was shocked that this grouping of heroes were on a shirt already and this was years before the bulk of their mcu debuts even took place.

Dan Slott confirms what we all pretty much suspected: The Fox deal is what lead to Marvel to relaunch the FF comic: 24:20.



It should be noted that Jonathan Hickman months before the Fox deal was officially announced confirmed that the reason Marvel axed the FF comic was because the film rights were at Fox.

The UK haven't left the EU yet. Who knows when the Brexit deal will even go through? It certainly won't be before the Disney Fox deal, so they're still part of the EU as far as anyone is concerned.

As far as I know Japan/south korea/Israel shouldnt need to approve the deal. Disney / fox dont have any assets there as far as im aware. The assets in australia are being spun off to New Fox so they shouldnt need to approve ether.And the UK is still part of the EU. So really brazil and Mexio are the final hurdles.

Those countries are the countries listed in the SEC filing by TWDC. Each one of those countries need to approve and the UK needs to approve separately from the EU. It's very possible other countries have already approved and only BR and MX are outstanding.
