It's been a long time since I've seen a poster on here that legitimately thinks Constantin owns the rights. When people in this thread talk about Constantin owning FF it's meant as a joke.

It's all a reference to DigificWriter who insisted that Constantin owns the rights. I wish he didn't get banned so that he could still argue his case even when the ship is sinking.

JTTheDreamer was also in that camp and he's still around I think. He says a lot of dumb things though so it's hard to keep track of it all.

I would love to see them announcing a whole slate, but they've said several times they won't do that anymore. I still have a little bit of hope tho...
They kinda have to, though. Getting these two properties back completely changes the game. I could easily see dates announced for X-Men and F4 at Comic Con in July

There's also a poster in Dark Phoenix boards that insisted that Lauren Shuler Donner owns the X-Men rights and Disney isn't getting them from buying Fox.

I think it might be ant-man and the wasp situation where the fox properties wont be announced during the initial phase 4 announcement but by November we might see Fantastic Four get slotted in on the slate. I dont think well see x-men till phase 5 tho. Maybe a brief introduction with Eternals. Then a break while Feige figures out how to introduce them into the present day.

Isn't this the same person who claimed Feige has no interest in using classic X-Men characters and that the MCU X-Men movies will be set in the past if he does?

Funny thing is there is a quote from Donner herself a while back about how Feige is already looking over documents and figuring out what to do with the Mutants.

Someone on reddit is still claiming that C*nstantin have the rights and the deal won't include the FF.....

Deadline confirms the deal will close by the middle of march.

Disney-Fox Deal Nears Final Approval After Progress In Brazil And Mexico

Rumored CADE will give conditional okay tomorrow. Also heard that Chile still hasn’t approved it because of the soccer broadcasting rights but likely to ask for behaviorial remedies and okay it. Though no indication when it will say something. Likely to hear something from Mexico soon too. We are in the end game.

Chile??? beside that PDF document from FNE website, I have not seen any News sources or website talk about Chile concerns in either Spanish or other languages.

It’s from our in-house guy sniffing around there. Just came it and crossed my desk. I hope he’s right. :)

Probably can’t say for sure though. Others either approved quietly, waived (I think in case of FCC) or there would have been noises already if it goes awry. Probably DIS will issue a statement some time next month saying it has cleared all conditions and the deal is expected to close on xxxx instead of making individual progress statements.

Chile I assume is Mexico's regulator? Disney is already making concessions for them too by omitting the sports channels. Brazil and Mexico are the last hurdles

Bloomberg and other sites are saying Brazil and Mexico are the final hurdles. Unless Disney closes the deal while waiting on approval from some of the smaller markets no one cares about?

I think they say final major hurdles or among final hurdles? Haven’t read them all but in Chile FOX + DIS = over 50% of sports TV market by audience and practically between them they have all soccer matches anyone care for so it would be rather generous FNE to not say something (or DIS pays them well hush money haha)

Then why is deadline saying the deal is closing in mid March? I don't think chillie is that major of an approval no one is mentioning it.

Weird in Colombia they approved the deal with no concerns about sports.

This is what the Deadline article states:

"Officials at CADE (whose translated full name is The Administrative Council for Economic Defense) are said to now be satisfied after Disney offered some of the concessions they had requested. Once their OK is secured, a final closing period of about 10 days will begin as the final Ts are crossed and Is dotted, a source with knowledge of the regulatory process tells Deadline. That would mean an official closing in mid-March, which is in line with initial forecasts even if it is later than it appeared things would conclude by the last few weeks of 2018."

Who else can that be other than DigificWriter?
