How much would FOX Sports Brazil sell for on the open market?

And I’d like to ask again as my initial post didn’t get much traction.

After divestitures of Sky and FOX Sports, how good of a deal did The Mouse actually get for The Fox?

Ive read the local RSN's could be worth up to $15 billion. Dont know about the Latin America networks.

Another thing, why is Kinberg and his krew so fascinated with making the Dark Phoenix look like a crackhead?

Had no clue the most powerful cosmic entity in the Marvel Universe was on that stuff!
I actually kinda like the effect Kinberg went with. It actually looks like the Phoenix force is pulsating within Jean's body whereas TLS she looks like she's demonically possessed or something. No idea why Ratner decided to go that route. What we have in the new movie is closer to what Singer originally envisioned for X3

And they got another 15 billion for FOX’s 39% stake of Sky. So that means they basically got 21st Century Fox, FOX Television, Star and Fox’s Hulu stake and other stuff for about 40 billion!

Amazing!

Thats closer to really what they should have paid. I think most analysts agreed at the time even the original 52.4 billion was overpaying.

On top of that, they also got some bargaining chips to use against Comcast and Sony to get back all Marvel rights. Whether they'll use them in that way is another matter though.

That shareholder (could've been the old man) in the Shareholders' meeting last year was saying they were overpaying. But if he estimated $13 bn instead of $40, that would've been way too low probably.

Whatever the case Disney have deep pockets. In 2018 alone they made $60 billion lol $71 billion for fox is nothing for Disney to them thats probably like a night out in town and buying your mates a steak dinner and a few drinks haha.

I could never spend that much in a night. I once went to a stag party and when it came to the dinner at night, the best man announced that everyone should agree to pay about £60 a head. I suddenly was overcome by a migraine and had to go home and skip the dinner.

That's an assumption. And I dare say it only applies to audience like us, who was going to be relived to just have them back home. But, as much as we like to think otherwise, we are not the bulk of the business they make... We don't know how the F4 will fare in the Box Office once Marvel gets around to them, Even despite of the best marketing available, they might still under perform. At the very least I can guarantee the movie will make less than it otherwise would have, had the Trank Travesty been vaulted.
We've already seen it happen with Spidey.
Homecoming performed very well, but it would've done even better had Amazing 2 never happened.
Feige and company have an uphill battle to make the 4 a success, and it's going to be harder because of the mess that came before.

Agreed. This is why I think the best move would be to introduce them as supporting characters in another film first (like the next Avengers film after End Game) and transition them to their own if they prove popular. I think a lot of fans don't realize how badly the Fantastic Four brand is tarnished among general audiences. .

To be honest, both versions look like they are demon possessed. I don't see that Sophie Turner's one looks any less, just possessed differently.

Since they're using up the Dark Phoenix storyline, I guess we'll never see the classic green and gold or even red and gold Phoenix costume in the MCU now, because we probably won't even get to Phoenix.

I've never seen a demon with bright pulsating energy flowing through their body. The cracks on her skin are clearly meant to illustrate the raw power bursting at the seams within her. If anything, Sophie's looks more like a divine, godly being. Which is what Phoenix should look like.

TLS Phoenix looks like something you'd see in the Exorcist what with the black eyes and black veins. It's not that far off from this

I don't have a problem with the look of Jean. I just wish he actually gave her a costume. We may never see the Phoenix again in the MCU and if we do, it won't be for at least another 10+ years. Feige will definitely give her the costume

The Dark Phoenix trailer on reddit has barely 3,000 up votes and the news about will smith leaving suicide squad 2 is getting more attention.

What’s the average amount of up votes on Reddit for a CBM trailer?

It makes me feel bad that the fox-men are probably going out with a whimper

Like it’s whatever at this point, but after all these years and some movies that I’ve really enjoyed, this is how it ends..... if only Logan was the end.

This just makes me sad for X-Men overall. Dark Phoenix is the biggest/most iconic X-Men story of all time and Will Smith exiting Suicide Squad matters more to people than the X-Men's climax.

This just shows the wanning interest people have in this property as a result of the Fox Movies. Marvel will need to do something fresh to rejuvenate the brand and make people excited again. X-Men a way we've never seen them before. The way us longtime X-Men fans see them

Kinberg shouldn't have done Dark Phoenix. They just had that storyline in The Last Stand.

And if this is Kinberg's way of trying to say that this is the DP story done right, well let's look back at Fant4stic, which was supposed to be the Fantastic Four done right, and not that "silly" Story version. Critics panned Story's FF the time, saying how great Fant4stic would be, but then walked back both their criticism and their praise when Trank and Kinberg's combined efforts bombed spectacularly.

The multiple delays didn't help the movie either. I was actually looking forward to it back in November. Still had a bit of interest when it moved to valentines day. Now I will probably watch it on a random Sunday afternoon at some point when it ends up on Netflix or something.

That's what I don't get. Why TF would he redo that story line so early, shot for shot? It makes no sense. I think it will open "decent" with about 40M DOM but will fall HARD the rest of the way, if it's even released. I still think/hope Disney steps in and stops this abomination from happening.

I could see Marvel shelving Magneto for a couple of films. How about Apocalypse being redone first?

They need to leave him aside for a while too, because X-Men Apocalypse made his name rather toxic, and it's too soon after that. It was also much higher profile than something like Fant4stic.
