So if I say I hate oranges while eating an apple, does that make me a hypocrite because they're both fruit? Or is it simply a matter of recognizing that the apple looking, feeling and tasting completely different from the orange produces different standardsNo that's called hypocrisy.
Someone suggested we do a skype chat a while back.

Dark Pheonix's fate is clear. New Mutants, Gambit and Kitty Pryde has unknown futures and especially New Mutants as that one is already shot but may not make it to theatres and could simply be sent to a streaming service
If people wanted the F4 to be diverse then they would have been praising Fox for casting MBJ as Johnny Storm....because that worked out so well.

I had a feeling Gambit got cancelled but I had recently read that a script for Kitty was still being worked on.
The only one I mourn is New Mutants. They had me since hearing “We don’t need no, education...”
And I still wanna know who the hell was that in the washing machine on fire.
I threw the idea out there when a few people suggested a highly improbable in person get together to celebrate Xmen/FF coming home. My thought was a Skype thing was more plausible, but I don't think anyone really took the idea all that seriously.
I'm on the west coast so I will be wide awake at 9:02 pm PDT when the deal is officially supposed to close. I'll send some out some kind of message in here at that time. Most likely something really deep and meaningful like "woot" or "huzzah"![]()
I'm simply calling out people who are easily triggered when others say they want Rogue to remain a stereotypical Mississippian (there's usually a tinge of "Oh, you're against race-bending? What's wrong with you?") but are now outed as against other characters being race-bent ("Fantastic Four should be all white!" "Scott and Jean should be white!").If people wanted the F4 to be diverse then they would have been praising Fox for casting MBJ as Johnny Storm....because that worked out so well.
Wolverine in the comics hasn't smoked in ages thanks to Joe Quesda initiating the ban on Marvel comics heroes smoking in 2001(even before Marvel was bought by Disney) so its no loss if Wolvie doesn't light up a cigarette. Same deal with Ben Grimm. Smoking are really inessential aspects of both characters anyway so it doesn't matter.I wonder if Disney will apply the no smoking rule to wolverine? or maybe they will release the film under the fox banner to get around it?
There's other ways to make him badass while comic accurate without having the smoking element. Although, it would be cool to see at least once
I think it's just easier for everyone to come to this board whenever they can throughout the day and celebrate. Everyone is in different time zones. What are people going to say to each other on Skype anyway?
Bendis is saying that but he probably knows what's going to happen to his script after the acquisition is complete. He's on the "business as usual" mentality that all of the Fox people are on. Publicly, at least.I had a feeling Gambit got cancelled but I had recently read that a script for Kitty was still being worked on.

Like I said I think it's the height of hypocrisy. I even think the reasoning behind it is ridiculous: They want to see the 'definitive' versions of Sue, and Reed, and Johnny, and Ben.
So the X-men are what? Chopped liver?

We'll say riveting stuff like "So ... how about that merger, pretty sweet huh?" And the consensus response will be "Yup, pretty sweet". Personally ... I can't wait![]()
