You know for a while I was actually sad we never got a sequel to rise of the silver surfer.

Those movies will be much easier to stomach now that Marvel is going to have the rights.

Would you all be okay if the Fantastic Four and X-Men get the trilogy treatment as well? Meaning 3 solos in their ensemble films and rest appearing in crossovers like Avengers 4 and 5?

Fox films are going to focus on their franchises moving forward with Avatar being the crown jewel.

But looks for new versions of Home Alone, Die Hard, Planet of the Apes, Alien, Predator, Doctor Dolittle, Night at the Museum, Percy Jackson, and X-Files.

I did not like the movie, but I did like how the Surfer was done and sad that the SS spinoff movie that was going to be penned by J. Micheal was Straczynski never made.

As much as I like having Spidey in the MCU the 2015 deal was really bad for Disney it basically let another studio leech of their work.

I have just been saying this since I joined this forum. Horrible one sided deal in Sony's favor.

Disney will only release 3-4 movies per year under the Fox/Fox Searchlight labels going forward.

I think there'll be more releases under those labels than that, both theatrical and DTC.

Aside from Avatar, is anyone really interested in those ips getting another sequel. Apes, okay but thats it. Before this merger, Fox only had the X-Men rights and Avatar when it comes to franchises. While Kingsman and Piorot are midtier franchise that might not even last long.

I just noticed that all the marvel related facebook pages for Avengers, Iron Man, Captain America, Guardians etc posted this a couple of hours ago. But they have already scheduled at least 7 upcoming films for 2019 and 2020 and those movies were already delayed and given a new date. I don't think it would be few as 3 to 4.

I really can't wait to see Storm with T'Challa; I know Nakia is there already but she's no Ororo.

Btw, I think it's rather surreal to see that the Fox deal finalized tomorrow. It is something unthinkable only 2 years ago that is about to become a reality. Finally I'll get to see X-Men & Fantastic Four as they're meant to be.
