This is up there with all those "You are never gonna get to see Ben Affleck's Batman fight Jared Leto's Joker now!" Tweets.*

* I liked Affleck a lot as Batman but had zero interest in Leto's Joker doing anything after Suicide Squad.

I think Marvel certainly can revive FF. I just think it will take more effort than just putting them back on screen in their own film in short order, say this is now our version, and sit back and watch it gross a billion dollars. They are going to have to work at it. They had three high profile flops in the last 15 years. I do think audiences will remember that.

I still maintain that I don't really see the FF as a billion dollar property, and that's fine. I just think some are kind of overselling how much of a big deal a new FF movie is going to be to a mainstream audience. Their historical significance is huge to comic geeks like us, but I don't think your average person cares to such an extent that they'd be doing those sorts of crazy numbers at the box office.

Right. X-Men as a property isn't the problem. It's the extremely limited vision hampering the franchise from reaching it's true potential. I hope Dark Phoenix is mediocre at worst for the brand's sake. X-Men under a fresh, exciting new vision not hampered by early 2000s standards would definitely put butts in seats. I think parts of the X-Men universe are going to be incorporated pretty soon.

F4 will definitely need to be nursed back to health. I've always maintained that the only ones who could bring the F4 back into a successful limelight are Marvel Studios

Maybe start with something simple like a Wolverine reboot and do some fan service like Wolverine vs Hulk. Build up the excitement again.

The Fantastic Four definitely need some reinvigorating before their film.

I think to restore some of their rep in for the public, Marvel needs to start soon. Some ways that could help would be:

A great animated show
Great promotion
Appearances in video games (as playable characters)
Cameos/ guest starring in other films

Marvel can start the process ASAP. It won't fix all the damage past films did, but it would definitely help.

Doesn't need to be a billion dollar franchise to be successful. I'm sure a great MCU Fantastic Four film will make much more than the previous Fox attempts though.

Also, while I highly doubt the first film will make a billion no one knows how subsequent films will do or how the franchise as whole will make.

If the first film is really good and has good word of mouth, that would put possible sequels in a good position.

I fully expect Reed to show up in another film before a F4 solo film

I can see any of them can showing up somewhere.

I can see them showing up in any of the planned films except for maybe the Eternals and Guardians. (I don't count Endgame or Far From Home because it's too late)

Johnny I can only see showing up in a Spider-Man film if anything.

I want Fantastic Four videogame in the vein of Spider-Man 2018! That would be fantastic four us gamers.

I'd love a great Fantastic Four game but I doubt they will get one before their film. The most I can hope for is appearance in Marvel games like Ultimate alliance or Marvel vs Capcom.

I prefer if their first cameo happens in Aveng5rs. I still think they'll feature the mutants first.

They can probably add them to MVC:I through DLC. Sort of like what they did with Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3

Its one of the things I want to happen. But obviously it ain't gonna happen. Fantastic Four is not under Sony compare to Spider-Man, and I don't think Sony would have great incentive from a FF game. And we don't even have a great Avengers game yet after 4 Avengers movies.

If Carol Danvers can lead a movie that rakes in inevitably a billion dollars, so can the Fantastic Four.

After all Reed Richards is elastic.
Sue can fade from sight.
Johnny is the Human Torch.
And well the Thing just loves to fight.

Just call the 4!

I’ve been drinking guys. Excuse me lol.

I'm 80% sure that there will no reference either the X-Men or Fantastic Four in Endgame.
I don't know which of the franchises will be referenced first. If I were in their shoes I'd reference and slowly set up the X-Men because it's introducing an entire species and the last Fox film is coming out this year. The X-Men will need a bit of a break before their film.
The FF can show up at any time with no problem.

Plus it depends on which one's gonna get their film first and I think the FF are more likely to.

That game is dead. It's more likely we get a new MvC than DLC for that game.

They're still making that "Avengers: project" with Square Enix.

I think/hope that Spider-Man PS4 woke Marvel up to the potential of video games. So hopefully there will be more in the future.

I said Aveng5rs not Endg4me.

Yeah Square Enix is making one but where is it. We don't have a great Avengers yet after 4 Avengers movies.

I think we'll get Aveng5rs after 3 years and that one will finally feature Spider-Man, Dr. Strange, Capt. Marvel, Black Panther, Ant-Man as the new big leads. I seriously doubt Marvel Stud10s will sit out their biggest superhero property for five years, thats not gonna happen.

Square Enix is not a very good developer any more unfortunately so I don't have a lot of optimism. Haven't been for some time. They've managed to really bungle key franchises like Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts by taking years and years to make them and then releasing them obviously unfinished.

I really hope Disney gets their video games sorted out. EA has completely botched Star Wars as well.

Good point. Infinite technically didn't use "MARVEL VS CAPCOM 4" so that title is still available. They can bill it as the TRUE sequel. I heard the game was terrible and it's definitely a relic of the past where Marvel Entertainment neglected the F4/X-Men out of spite. Not anymore and never again

Endgame is the end of an era and will likely be the swan song of some fan favorites. They are likely to give that franchise a rest for while. Especially since the Avengers films now tend to be about big threats. Make the film too soon and it waters down the brand. I believe they will let that franchise rest a bit before doing another film.

I don'tthink they'llsit out Avengers 5 while launching new properties left and right.

If I were them, I would give insomniac all the money they need for an Avengers game. Though I think they are already busy developing Spider-Man Chapter 2.

Thats not gonna happen. I rarely see a franchise skipping to include "4" in the title only to use 4 later on for the title. Well except for Resident Evil.
