Maybe they're fixing it so that it won't have any reference to mutants or X-Men but can be released as a low-budget generic horror flick either on the streaming Disney channel or on the big screen. Maybe it won't even be called The New Mutants by the time it comes out.
No one would care, lol. The first trailer didn't exactly scream "this is a New Mutants movie!" anyway.

Cancel Deadpool III as well

I didn’t see where Deadpool 2 was that bad... Juggernaut sold me on it lol.

“COMMIE MOTHERF——“

You guys think Tye Sheridan is eating his words about trashing Avengers since the acquisition?
eh, he was always being recast anyway. and besides, he was just the lead role in a spielberg movie, I think he has a bright future regardless.

now the one who really looks like they have egg on their face is the storm actress. ooooooooooooooooof.

I don't really like Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool it annoys me how FOX has convinced the general audience he is the second most important X-MAN after Wolverine

That comes from the lack of faith FOX always had in the X-Men characters in general. It isn't Reynolds fault.

Anyway, I'm also one of the few people who didn't like Deadpool 2. I felt they were just repeating beats and jokes from the first one. So yeah... I wouldn't mind if they cancelled both Deadpool 3 and X-Force.

I like him a lot, but not enough that I would be sad if they replaced him.

My ideal MCU Deadpool would 1) actually be born on Earth-199999 2) be young enough to team up with Spider-Man and throw double entendres at him without ending up on a watchlist.

And yes, I'm already aware that everyone on here disagrees with me and would love nothing more than for Reynolds' Deadpool to unexplicably show up in an MCU movie and say stuff like "Gee, I guess I work for Disney now, ROFLMAO! Is that the Human Torch, LOL!!!!", so please leave me alone.

To quote Bob Iger "There shouldn't be two Marvel's"

I’m not so sure there’s much of a future for the Deadpool franchise post-merger. Even Reynolds himself doesn’t seem that enthusiastic about a third Deadpool movie. Not to mention Reynolds being enough of a control freak that he pushed Tim Miller away for Deadpool 2 - that doesn’t exactly spell good things about Reynolds ability to work with Marvel Studios. I can’t help but feel the only thing Marvel will do with Deadpool will just regulate him to a few cameos in post-credit sequences. But who knows? Maybe Feige and Reynolds can work together well and both he & Feige will come up with a really cool fresh idea that excites Reynolds enough to be on board with another solo DP film. Time will tell.

fox didn't even want deadpool to happen and it took reynolds leaking that test footage from years ago to even get them to reconsider.

the fact that it succeeded and fox just jumped on the runaway train just shows that everyone gets lucky once in a while

Oh that broad.

First she was miscast as Aaliyah and then they had the utter nerve to make her Storm. I can’t wait until they give her ass the boot.

Why would Marvel throw away millions of dollars by dumping Ryan's Deadpool? The only character who needs retooling is Colossus so he can appear in X-Men movies and be in a relationship with Kitty Pryde

What? Deadpool’s rendition of Colossus was the best adaption in live-action that’s ever been. I actually hope they retain that version for the MCU going foward.

Well -- unless you want a 40 year old Colossus with a teenage Kitty Pryde, he's going to have to get rebooted in the MCU. Plus he'll need to be a fleshed out character with depth so he'll need an actual actor to play him in non-armored form. Everybody else in his supporting cast can move to MCU as is.

The method in which he was created was great. But for continuity's sake I'd rather he get a new actor and design.

Colossus is not "just a metal boy", he's human looking, and his power turns him into metal form (only when he uses his power, not all day)
Deadpool's approach to Colossus is kind of one dimensional and almost a parody. Piotr deserves better than that.

Which is what marvel united probably meant by the retooling comment. Deadpools colossus is played by like 3 different people. And if you want a true to character colossus you'll need a flesh and blood actor on screen. DPs version nailed the look and the voice but is fundamentally flawed because you're never intended on looking like a human and not being comedic relief or an action plot device.

Yeah, it's great to see Colossus ripped out of the comics but there's a reason why we never see his human form. He's really just a punchline in the DP films and nothing more -- I'd want him to be an actual character. I imagine he'll have to be slimmed down a bit to accommodate his non-armored form... Unless they have Piotr grow when he armors up.

But then again, Thor and Cap were slimmed down from the comics for the MCU too.

If they either kick out or keep Reynolds, I'll be fine. But honestly, Marvel Studios has built an empire with B-List characters and obsure characters like Guardians. IW and Endgame are historical movies. So it's not like Marvel Studios needs Reynolds Deadpool and this franchise.

What I mean is: If they want to to dump and reboot him because they feel it will serve them better... they will.

I'm not fussed about deadpool ether. Also it looks like the Far From Home trailer might finally drop this week.

I've seen some fans say they will tweet her the news when a new actress gets the role.
