 That means they expect to have the deal closed before then, because I can't imagine they'd want to show it off without the Fox content.
Yep, I think they'd be totally confident in having it complete by then, with a decent safety margin. The Fox content would be a huge boost for the amount of streaming content available.

Remember Marvel announcing Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther and the entire Phase 3 slot?

Can you imagine this year's Comic Con, Marvel announcing the entire Phase 4 slot with Fox characters, while also announcing the Fantastic Four cast?

(I know Feige probably won't announce entire phases anymore tho)

But could you imagine?

It would be amazing. I really hope he decides to do it. I’m looking forward to him being able to talk about X-Men and F4 freely.

It would be glorious. I hope we get something like that.

Deadpool 2 is on track to become the highest-grossing "X-Men" movie.

Deadpool: $783M
Deadpool 2/Once Upon a Deadpool: $745M

I think Marvel will stop going to SDCC, but I can see this announcement made in this year's D23.

I’m looking forward to seeing what numbers a MCU X-Men can do.

Here's what happened the last time Simon Kinberg oversaw re-shoots of a film that he(along with the studio) didn't like the initial cut of.

really scary.
aside of disgusting as hell

Not the least bit surprised they're having issues with it still. It's going to be a tremendous effort for this to turn out good- if it ever sees the light of day. But who are these Scott and Thomas guys, though?

I love the start of the last Tweet: "Apparently #NewMutants' reshoots were to be overseen by Kinberg because he didn't like what Boone delivered, which was something new and different." Sooo... "good" and "faithful to the source material", then?

Good thing Kinberg's reign of terror on X-Men & FF franchises will soon be over.

I hear he's coming to do some reshoots on Avengers: Endgame. :o

And on Infinity War too.

It makes you wonder how many other x-men projects at fox have gone down hill because he had worked on them without credit.

I wish this deal was done at least a year early. It would've probably saved us from New Mutants and Dark Phoenix.
We could have been talking about MCU X-Men releasing next year
