I want a scene where Cyclops and Wolverine differ over the way a mission should be handled, and in the end it turns out Cyclops was right. It's one way to show that Professor Xavier picked the right person to lead the X-Men.
I would love for a scene where Wolverine’s recklessness comes at a cost and he himself volunteers that Cyke should be leader.

Does anyone else wonder how theyll update the marvel studios logo to include F4 and X-Men? Its already pretty long and a little self indulgent. I think they might have to remove some of the OG Avengers from the intro to make room for the new incoming franchises. if not remove them entirely. As much as I would want them to keep the OG Avengers in the logo going forward to pay homage you gotta make room for the next generation no sense in them keeping them in it if they arent involved anymore.
I would hate for them to remove anyone. Just have more characters on at any one time. You want to show the entire scale of the MCU achievement to date IMO. You can have 6 animated panels pop up to kick things off before they are replaced with new panels of the new Avengers. Something like that.

 Storm feels like Scott is being a bit immature stooping to Logan's level. She tries to approach Logan in a less poignant way. Scott on the other hand feels like he has to show that he's strong because Logan is trying to make him look like a fool. This could be an inverse on what happened in X1.

I would like to see Logan and Wolverine butting heads while Storm tries to break them up. But by the climax -- Scott and Logan have formed a mutal respect. Maybe even have Logan save him to prove to Scott that he was wrong about Logan being a lost cause and not caring. That Charles was right in seeing the good in him.
Excellent. I’ll take all that exactly as it is.

I want MCU Storm to go one better than Dark Phoenix Storm. Instead of giving her an umbrella, give her an umbrella hat. She could even wear it over her Mohawk.

You dont remove the most popular superhero team in the planet from your studio logo because some fans suddenly think that the x-men or the fantastic 4 are suddenly gonna replace the avengers.

Its not gonna happen. Both the x-men and the 4 will be important but the avengers will be the driving foorce of the mcu. And no, not every og aveavenger is gonna die in endgame. Plenty of them will survive.

During the promotion for the Chinese release of Deadpool 2(which has been edited down for a PG-13 release in order to conform with the standards there) Ryan Reynolds confirmed that the third installment of Deadpool is currently in works. Now I wonder if Feige and Reynolds can agree as to where next to take the Merc-With-The-Mouth for a third film.

Reynolds notes the third film will head in a “different direction” which I think is encouraging since that matches with Marvel Studios personal ethos to shake things up whenever their franchises enters their third installment. Look at Iron Man 3, Civil War, & Thor Ragnarok which are all films that are distinctly different from their previous entries. Perhaps Feige and Reynolds can indeed collaborate after all? Feige seems to be a fan of the Deadpool films. Does anyone here think that Wade Wilson’s R-rated world has a bright future under Marvel Studios or do think Marvel will sanitize the whole thing and make the Merc-With-The-Mouth stay squarely in the PG-13 realm from now on?

I think Deadpool in his current movie incarnation won't be shoehorned into the MCU just because it's popular, and that these actors and executive producers are obligated to say these things until the deal is finalised.

Let's see what they're saying after it's a done deal.

There’s no point in achieving after your initial achievement if subsequent achievements just wipe out your original ones. The MCU intro should always include all their best characters, even after some are dead, to show the scale of what has been achieved over time and how it’s transitioned. As the years roll by it will keep getting more impressive.

Rewatching the Story F4 films, I think the Thing suit looked pretty decent in the first film. But it looked rubbery and fake in ROTSS.

Overall, the movies aren't good movies but they're pretty fun

I think the rubber Thing suit was a tiny improvement in the sequel, but that's not saying much. I think it went from a turd to a polished turd basically.

I'm really looking forward to The Thing not looking completely stupid for a change once it gets to the MCU.

Really? I thought the second suit was an improvement, though I didn't like it in either.

And not only did it never look like anything other than a guy in a rubber suit, the biggest problem was his movement. He always looked awkward and slow and never looked powerful and athletic - as Kirby drew him. That ability for him to move and charge and lunge and punch with real power is why I'm really looking forward to a much better MCU version.

The Roger Corman Thing suit was the best and most realistic! :o

Yeah, I don't know it just seemed much more rubbery/smooth. It didn't look good in either film, though. I wonder why Story didn't use a CG Thing. CG was obviously efficient at the time (see Hulk 2003) and it would have accomplishe what you wanted to see out of Ben, Willie..

MCU Thing will probably be mocap. The way Hulk moved in AOU is a great indicator of what Thing could move like:

Speaking about mocap does anyone here think the Skrulls should've been done that way instead of practical? Hulk in the Avengers films looked pretty good and natural(for the most part) while the Skrulls look pretty awkward in motion with practical, imo.

Hulk in Avengers was also the only time the Hulk looked great though, and the Black Order members were kinda hit and miss. Personally, I'm fine with practical Skrulls, I just wish they didn't look so much like Piccolo from Dragon Ball Evolution.

I'm not over the moon in love with how they designed the Skrulls. That newest image they released has them looking pretty cheap. The rubber silicon skin is pretty obvious and the contact lenses look bad. I think they could have been pulled off with practical makeup but I wish they stuck with the original design

I don't mind practical effects. They look fine for aliens in Star Trek or the Orville. I guess it's more that the designs of the Skrulls look a bit too human. I think that was probably so that we could see the actors' faces and expressions.

What I don't want is for the Thing to look more human and that they sacrifice his big brown, button nose and large mouth. I don't care if they are trying to show more of the actor's emotion there. I only want to see a comic accurate Thing. They have never gotten that right in live action, and it's not exactly hard to do.

What I find odd is how the Skrulls look wayyy better in the promo art

Odd.

They struck a good balance with Ruffalo and the Hulk. They could incorporate the actor's eyes into the classic Thing face.

The brow and the nose are the most important things to get right.

They had some better action than X-Men at the time. I mean Human Torch/Silver Surfer chase scene is something that we would have never seen in X-Men, because Storm’s flying was never very good.

Not to mention Human Torch absorbing and using all of the F4’s powers, was something they could’ve done with Rogue but she was always wasted.

Susan Storm actually used force fields as well, while Jean Grey 5 movies in still can’t do it.

Avi Arad (and this is when I first started to realize how full of s*** he was) promised us, during the production of FF 2005 as some clips were coming out, that they would use CGI to enhance the suit.

And if you watch very closely during the fire-truck scene, there's a brief moment that it looks like CGI was used on the "rocks" on Ben's back, but that seems to be the end of it.

A combination of CGI with the suit could have made a huge difference, but they didn't seem overly concerned with spending the money required to make it better.

I definitely noticed it. The rocks "shift" into place and it looks pretty good.

Avi is a con man. I realized the truth about him in 2009 when we found out that Avi forced Raimi to include Venom in Spider-Man 3 because "the fans want Venom". It's really a shame. The concept art for Thing looked pretty damn good

I imagine the CG enhancements had they went all the way -- would have been used on the joints and muscles. To make the rock look more organic and not like rubber

I think the CGI enhancement was just the bird poo. :o

That Thing still looks wrong. The face is too human and doesn't look correct at all.

Story didn't have a CGI Thing in his F4 movies because the paltry budget Fox gave him wouldn't allow for that. Rothman and his lackeys were notorious for budgeting the bare minimum for the Faux Marvel movies, and then cutting even those budgets further as shooting progressed. Back when Singer was filming X-Men, there were reports that millions were slashed from the budget late in development, which meant dozens of effects shots had to be scrapped at the last minute.
