Man, I just can’t get pumped for the Black Widow film especially if it’s a prequel like it’s rumored to be.

I like the director they’ve chosen but I’ve never been big on Johanssan in the role.

It’s weird to say this but of the two Marvel films being released in 2020 I’m most interested in Eternals since Guardians has shown Marvel can take a C-list property and transform it into a juggernaut. Plus I kind of like getting a fresh property that I have no familiarity with like(again) Guardians.

Black Widow is taking the May 2020 slot left behind from Guardians 3. Oof. Thats quite a downgrade tbh. I think we can expect some pretty big cameos in the film if Marvel is confident that the film can hold its own in a prime summer release date.I'm guessing Hawkeye, Nick Fury, Maybe Winter Soldier as well. Depending on the time period.

Hoping CNBC will do one of those extended interviews with Iger on the day the deal closes like they did with the AT&T / Time Warner acquisition. Hopefully Iger goes into detail about his plans for Fox. Im not sure if he would announce anything Marvel related there. When they acquired Lucasfilm they did announce Episode 7 for a 2015 release so I guess its possible.

Truly a shame that so many people are salty over this movie getting the recognition it deserves. Some of the comments I read are absolutely abhorrent.

It was the film that turned around the film franchise after the dull, paint-by-numbers first two films. The whole look and structure of the films were massively improved starting with PoA. It isn't my favorite, but I can understand why people think that way because it basically rebuilt everything from the ground up aside from the main actors (minus Dumbledore). The later films had PoA as a model to follow so I don't think they were the achievement PoA was even if I was entertained by a couple of them more.

Can she use the Venom Blasts and Pheromones? That's the question. Those are the powers that are crucial to the character and aren't explicitly spider powers the way Spider-Man's webs are. If she can, I can live without the spider imagery. Especially the Pheromones. She needs those.

Alfonso is too big of a name right now for X-Men or any cbm.

Guillermo del Toro is kind of big too, but would be really interesting to see how he would handle characters like Beast and Nightcrawler, Im sure he would do an stellar job with them, and would love to see what he would do with others like Storm and Rogue for example.

Blade isnt exactly known for its deep philosophical nature. He is a black guy in a trenchcoat and shades killing vsmpires.

Neither of the first 2 blade movies had great writing.

Del Toro was trying to get a Hulk series off the ground back before The Avengers came out. That just fell off the map after a few years in development hell. He does tend to start projects and abruptly drop them, the way he did with The Hobbit and At The Mountains of Madness.

No idea. As you can see, the leaked email just says "spider powers". Without Sony's consent, Marvel can't even put her in the costume.
