I'd feel kinda bad for the Gifted cast if their show is cancelled but it is what it is. They're using the Morlocks and Polaris and I could see Feige wanting those characters saved for the MCU

I don't think that had anything to do with Whedon being tired. He wanted the Avengers to have been doing things off-screen for a while, and he was the threat they selected to be the opening sequence villain. I was disappointed as a fan of Strucker, but in terms of the movie as its own entity, his role was fine.

I didn't mind the yuks so much. It made sense with Ultron being Tony's son in this iteration. But I would love to see a lipless version with alternative forms that weren't drones seemingly made of paper mache. A tank version ala Ultron 6 and a mega sized model ala Ultron 7 would be great fits fighting alongside Ultron Classic.

I tried to watch maybe one or two episodes of that show, but it's still more of the same FOXness. Like the writers googled a bunch of mutants, found out what their powers were and just made their own storyline about it.

They nailed Polaris' hair though, thank God. LOL.

Yeah, pretty much. Their poor excuse for the Morlocks in S2 is pretty evident of this.

I've watched 3 episodes so far but tuned out for the same reasons.

The Punisher and Jessica Jones are next. All the Marvel shows will be cancelled, except Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. :funny:.

Will be interesting to see what shows (rather than mini-series) Marvel want to do when they get going.

Looks like Mexico's IFT is already well into reviewing the Disney/Fox merger. Honestly at this point it just seems easier to divest Fox Networks Group Latin America.

La fusión entre Disney y la 21ST Century Fox podría afectar al Futbol Mexicano - IDET : Instituto del Derecho de las Telecomunicaciones

The merger between Disney and 21ST Century Fox could affect Mexican Soccer

    • The IDET detected disadvantages to promote competition as well as distribution of audiovisual products in Mexico with the merger between Disney and Fox
    • Mexican soccer could be involved after 4 teams are broadcast by Fox Sports
    • Fox launched a premium application with national and international sports content, whose price is 139 pesos per month
From the Institute of Telecommunications Law (IDET) concerned the merger between Disney and 21st Century Fox , as this could have on consumer detriment television in Mexico, including football fans.

According to an Economist report , the IDET has stated that it finds disadvantages to promote healthy competition as well as the distribution of audiovisual products; this, despite the fact that the Federal Telecommunications Institute still needs to analyze the transaction.

And it is that the games of Monterrey, Pachuca, León and Tijuana are broadcast by the Fox Sports signal , which means 22 percent of the teams that play in the first division of the country.
While, from ESPN can see the matches of Atlas and Santos, although it is shared rights with TV Azteca .

Competition.

After the announcement of purchase, the media reports, Fox launched a premium application with national and international sports content, whose price is 139 pesos per month, or free for those who already pay for the television service.

Similarly, El Economista said that Morena senators will summon the commissioners of the IFT, Gabriel Contreras , as well as Alejandra Palacios , from the Federal Commission of Economic Competition, to look into the risks of the union.

In the last tournament, 31 percent of the 153 games played in the regular season were broadcast exclusively by a pay-TV channel, while 77 percent were tuned to open television.

And, during the last four years, the television offer of the parties changed for the followers, derived from the distribution of television rights, which produced better offers from Fox Sports, ESPN, TVC Deportes as well as Claro Video.

In such a way that the Mexican amateur would have to pay to be able to watch the transmissions of the equipment, something that lives since 1998 when Televisa incorporated first division matches in its pay signal (Sky) since by contract it was established that the clubs yielded two or three matches per tournament.

However, this fact could be slowed down in Mexico, also, there are precedents, in Argentina, to see football matches must be paid, while in Brazil the purchase was not authorized by the Administrative Council of the Economic Defense; Meanwhile, in the United States, the union was made without the inclusion of Fox Sports , to avoid monopolistic actions.

My only question is which MCU heroes could they pair him with to add to the Deadpool fckery? Off the grip I’d say Punisher, but I could also see RDJ cutting loose with Deadpool too.

Really, who wouldn't pair with him? Pretty much anybody could play straightman to his fourth wall antics.

( Actually, I can think of one group who wouldn't work well with him: the Guardians of the Galaxy. Essentially, they are sufficiently weird and comedic already, that Deadpool wouldn't really stand out. )

I don't agree with the films (I have Iron Man 2, Age of Ultron, and The Incredible Hulk as the bottom 3), but the general assessment. Even the worst Marvel films are still decent. No Fant4stics or X-Men Origins to be found.

I peg Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, and Thor 2 as the worst. Age of Ultron is still a good movie, just nowhere near as note-perfect as Avengers 1. Iron Man 3, meanwhile, is an excellent movie in its own right, it just has a vocal set of detractors who hate the movie for being faithful to the source material in the "wrong" way.

And even Incredible Hulk, the worst of the bunch, is still more watchable than the majority of non-MCU superhero movies. Its boring and lifeless, but at least its basically functional.

Iron Man 3 is my least favorite movie in the MCU. Not because of the Mandarin twist(I think Trevor Slattery is hilarious), but because it feels a lot more like a Shane Black movie rather than a Marvel movie. To me it feels almost completely disconnected to the MCU. Even the ending (including the 70's style credit roll) makes it look like Iron Man is done and that this is the end, and that Tony Stark is going to retire the suits forever. It's like Shane Black didn't get the memo on whole connected universe thing and how Iron Man was going to be in AoU.

Still, having said all of that, it's still entertaining and way better than the worst Fox movies.

I wonder if this lends more credence to the rumors that the solo Black Widow movie is going to be R-rated. Iger literally just said they will be more R-rated films under Disney other than Deadpool. Plus Feige himself doesn’t rule out the possibility.

Black Widow R-rated is WTF but maybe with sex and violences contents ....

So Deadpool from Fox universe will be rebooted or not ?????
Igor think Deadpool would remain in basic x-men fox universe but he isnt sure
Feige want one universe, not separate universes MCU and Fox-x-men saga keep existing

But if Disney doesnt reboot Deadpool, Reynold will continue to play, Fox x-men saga will stay alive
If it would be rebooted so Deadpool will be part of MCU and they will have to recast Wade

I had a dream last night that I was at Comic-Con and Kevin Feige came on stage and said: "I'd like to show you a quick clip of something we're working on."

Hulk came up on the screen standing in a pile of rubble and looking super agitated. The camera moved in on him rocking and shaking as it zoomed then a rocky orange fist and arm shot into the frame, slammed into Hulk, and Hulk went flying back 50 feet.

The crowd went wild.

It was a good dream. :D

Yeah, it’s a shame all the Ultron drones were the same and so disposable.

Maybe a premonition. :cwink:

I still don't get the hate for Iron man 3 and age of Ultron, both are 8/10 movies to me. The worst MCU films are Thor dark world and Antman and Wasp, both are still good and entertaining but boring.

Honestly, reading that article is a bit sad if you’re a cinema fan in general. 20th Century Fox really made some classic movies dating back to the golden age of Hollywood and is one of the OG studios. It’s crazy to think that many people will be losing out on their jobs, but I’m sure that severance will be lovely. I guess 20CF will be their new Touchstone.

Anyway, WE GET MCU X-MEN!!!

Maybe tonight you'll have the sequel to that dream where Feige presents the Thing looking like he did from Fant4stic with no pants. Then you'll think "what a revolting development!"

It still boggles my mind that Disney actually bought the whole damn Fox studio. Buying the Fox owned Marvel properties would’ve sufficed but Mickey actually bought the whole damn thing. LOL.

It's a bit like the opening scene from Crazy Rich Asians where the hotel staff refuse to give Michelle Yeoh and her children a room, and then she calls her husband and he buys the hotel outright. Then the staff who turned her away are now her employees and she tells them to mop up the floor.
