The Rebooted "Keep Hope Alive" (that the rights can revert back to Marvel) Thread - Part 4

Hopefully things change a bit more from now to IW. Regarding the F4 atleast ;)

We know we won't hear anything until after Civil War. I'm not even convinced Marvel has the rights just yet. I think they will before the 7 yrs though

If they make announcement at Comic-Con the internet will die.

I don't get emotional at anything but the day the FF goes back to Marvel I may shed a few nerd tears would be an awesome moment if they could pull it off at a comic con.

I have my fingers crossed for when the day comes.

its only a matter of time before the F4 are back where they belong. Just gotta be a little more patient.

Nope, I don't see that happening. The internet will die when Marvel finally reveals the actress for Captain Marvel.

Let's both be honest the internet will die when Marvel gets the X-Men rights. :funny:

I didn't know (because I couldn't care less) that they hadn't cast that role yet.

It might be a big deal for hard-core Marvel fans, but most will just say: "Captain who? Is that the "Shazam" guy?"

That would certainly chalk up the roster for the MCU. And ensure it's survival for years to come.

There seem to be a lot of rumors out there about Fox and Marvel working together and they seem to be gaining steam.

If there's really nothing to it, I'd expect Fox to release a statement at some point to squash the rumors.

Maybe they're considering it and watching to see how people like us react before signing off on anything.

I say make the X-Men Earth turn out to be High Evolutionary's Earth. That would make perfect sense since he was fiddling with DNA and that's what resulted in so many mutants.

Yeah, not sure how I feel about that. I'd rather not see the X-Men in the MCU except for Hugh Jackman's Wolverine.

I think a deal could be made to introduce FF and their characters in the MCU. For x-men I can see a crossover movie at most, some worlds colliding type thing that still keeps them separated at the end.

I guess that'd be okay. But not sure how it would work with the X-Men filns set in the 1980's right now. I just want the Fantastic 4 in the MCU and then go from there

Nope. They don't, any more than they had a claim to Quake.

Wasn't Namor being a Mutant a Retcon anyway?

Fox wouldn't have any claim to Tony Stark if Marvel decided to make his genius the result of having a mutant mind (Forge's long lost brother arc) either.

X-mens movie continuity would require that world would have to separate (alternate reality). F4 starting over though, be it a collaboration with Fox or solely by Disney, can fit right into the MCU.

Hopefully deals have or will be done soon that sees this come true.

If they can get along a crossover between the MCU and x-verse down the line would also be a viable option.

Let's hope they make the smart move. No shame in a little teamwork.

Ang Lee's Hulk made him effectively a mutant, so off to Fox he should go to join up with the X-Men. :o
