On a side note, is galactus a really bad judge of character? He choses really strong personalities for his heralds.
Just chose a wimpy bloke that does what he's told.
Maybe because if someone challenged his heralds, they would just do what they're told from the other person too.

Yeah, I can see the advantage of having a herald who will think and act on their own. What employer wants to hire someone who does what they're told and only what they're told?
And no matter how uppity they may get, I don't think Galactus would ever fear they'd be a threat. He only gives them a tiny bit of his power.
... and maybe having a taste of the Power-Cosmic makes otherwise weak individuals feel powerful and that makes them less complicit. (I feel like that element has been touched on in at least a couple of stories I've read)
...or maybe it's just a comic book with a bunch of silly, exaggerated, completely unrealistic elements and we should avoid over-analyzing things lest the whole house of cards fall apart.![]()

On the application form or job interview, Galactus probably asks potential heralds in what ways they have shown initiative in their previous jobs and then asks them to describe a situation demonstrating this.
He probably asks them where they see themselves in 5 years time too. Norrin Radd should probably answer that in 5 years time he'd be regretting having become his herald.

Nah if Disney dont like xmen in video games & animation, its their loss.......let them put Carol Danvers & Lady Thor all over the place. Lets see if fans would buy them.
Feige already said that currently there's no plan on getting F4 back from Fox. And I think the silence from Fox means that they will wait until the rights are almost expired before fast-tracking another movie so they can have the extension again. Fox has no interest in working with Marvel unlike Sony because they don't have to.

Just turn a dog into his herald great company loyal and would be good at "fetching" planets for him. All he'd want is cosmic treats and the odd belly rub.
'The truth is, X-Men is slowly losing their popularity under Fox, aside from Deadpool. Without merchandises, kids won't buy their toys and other things, '
wait, who is in control of xmen merchandise? Since xmen merchandise started disappearing after disney bought marvel, does it have more to do with movie rights than movie quality?
and I think both sides have now admitted that marvel does root for xmen to fail, an argument being ridiculed as 'conspiracy' since the last thread ---

Disney/Marvel own the merchandising rights for all X-Men and Deadpool, but they cannot make any based on the movies that Fox produces unless they would share the profits, which they don't want to do. But even for comics X-Men you don't see much being released, and it's intentional; Marvel doesn't want to promote them over the Avengers, and that's why you can hardly find anything related to X-Men in the store.
Thanks for proving my argument.
Fox probably could have gotten some X-Men merchandising concessions in exchange for the FF rights in 2015.
It appears they refused to do that and with each passing day, as we get closer to the unflinching reversion date, Marvel will have less interest in making a deal like that.
Not having X-Men merchandise hurts Fox far more than it hurts Marvel.
Also why they cancelled the Wolverine and the X-Men cartoon and haven't made another one since.
I think the X-Men are in a better place pop culture wise then the FF though.
Recently Fox released Logan and Legion (Marvel even helped promote Legion) and Logan is one of the best comic book movies and Legion is one of the best comic book TV shows. FF got stuck with Fan4stic a year and a half ago, not mention it looks like Fox is releasing an X-Men TV show on its main channel, we will have a sequel to Deadpool soon enough and likely more X-Men main movies and spin offs.
Even if the X-Men don't get another cartoon anytime soon, they still thrive in other areas of media, while the FF are just screwed.
