As much as I love the sound of this it could be a situation like the Skrulls. I have heard Marvel has access to the skrulls but Fox has the Superskrull. Thats always been the general belief. I still think some of these characters have been swapped in recent undisclosed deals. Hell....maybe even the whole FF property.
I just never expected some announcement......just little hints to it here and there.
Point one could be true, but given their identical appearance and powers if you have rights to one of them you basically have the whole bunch. If the only restriction is not using one name with lots of vowels, that's not much of a restriction.
An interesting detail about that:
Some have speculated/hoped Stan Lee would be revealed as Uatu. Why would Stan Lee be in space talking to the Watchers? Could he be a Watcher? (Maybe not even Uatu, but he could be a different Watcher) I remember someone commenting that in some of his scenes he has interfered with things, but maybe he's a not-so-great Watcher. As hinted by the others walking away.
Wow! And I don't think its a case of Marvel not having Uatu otherwise they would've used other Watchers to observe any events that at leased included the Infinity Stones.
This gives me pause as well.
We're talking about a Studio that's subjected to legislation that prevents them from using the word "Mutant" in their films. Yet has an F4 design in the background.
I don't see Marvel doing another Ego/MSTWH deal with Fox just to get a Watcher after credit scene and a picture of an F4 machine in the background of Thor 3.
Doesn't make any sense...

Looks like they are coming back in the comics at least.

Given Fox's recent announcement of X Men movies and not a mention of Fantastic Four, this bodes well for The rights reverting to Marvel Studios! Also the fact that Marvel Studios is purposely holding back on announcing the TITLE of Avengers 4 and other Phase 4 movies, I am led to believe this is because they want to drop a MEGATON announcement with Fantastic Four being introduced either in Avengers 4 or in a Phase 4 movie.

Kevin Feige is saying that Avengers 4's title is a Avengers 3 spoiler.

I really can't think of anything having a huge impact other than Fantastic Four coming home to Marvel.
Unless of course for Thanos killing everybody.

Trying to think of event storylines that might be spoilers, the Infinity Wars/Gauntlet are being covered atm so its not those, and most of the other big events have included the FF and X-Men. Thinking about the big events over the years if the name is not for a heavily FF/X-men then the list shrinks. Also I'm not sure how much that might spoil the events of Avengers 3.
Thinking about the events there could be one from a couple of years back which could result in spoilers for A3, and thats if they were planning to do Secret Invasion.
Warlock was supposed to be in Gotg2. He may be set up for part 3. Think he will be Gunn's baby. This Avengers two parter seem to be ever changing from what it originally was. Just like when things were changing for Spidey inclusion. The whole future beyond 2019 seems to be changing. I always thought it was weird having Antman in between the two IW films.
Here's a crazy thought (as long as we're throwing poop at the wall). X-Men crossover?
Guardians of the Galaxy post credits spoiler but a possible clue to Fox/Marvel relationship.
Though Uatu isn't mentioned by name, the Watcher species makes an appearance, three of them all looking exactly like Uatu.
