What??? Doesn't make any sense. That just throws everything off. What leads to the chimney scene with Aunt May? It obviously isn't going to be the armoured car chase.

could be the electro time square battle i suppose, which could be why he is dirty, no one says that scene has to be early on

^ Sorry, that doesn't make sense.

Question #1: Is there a reference by Gwen due to Peter being late to his date?

The answer is Yes.

Question #2: Does the date scene lead directly to Time's Square?

The answer is Yes.

Question #3: So if Gwen sees Peter at graduation (where he kisses her) and he is late to graduation due to the armored car chase scene (what most are speculating), then why would she be bringing up machine guns and traffic jams on the date, unless she is refering to a second scene with machine guns and traffic jams, and only the Rhino Mech scene fits that.

Answer: Because the Mech Rhino scene doesn't happen after Gwen dies at the end of the movie!!!
Not according to Yurka, who has been to a test screening and said enough to spark some wild talk. Check all the hubub in the general discussion thread if you haven't already.

The armored car chase could very well happen at the beginning of the movie, but that doesn't nessssairly mean that the Rhino scenes has to immediately follow. Remember, he gets webbed up and presumably goes to prison. What if he gets out a year later with his new tech and says, "Remember me? You humiliated me last year."

So just found out Rhino vs Spidey comes after Gwen's death.
How do you all feel about that?

I shouldn't have clicked on that...oh well. Is that for sure the ending of the movie or could it change? I'm not excited about the idea for the reasons I posted on the previous page but we'll see how it turns out.

Well that could change but I doubt it. Seems the film will hand with Spidey about to hit Rhino with the manhole cover. The real question is how much time would have transpired between [BLACKOUT]Gwen's death[/BLACKOUT] and The Rhino fight?

Yes, and per my comment to you in the general boards, that is where my concern lies.

If it's handled properly and given enough time it will work. I doubt Webb will jump right into the Rhino fight immediatley after you know what. That won't work at all imo.

I agree with you about Webb doing his part on the you know what.

Its not like [BLACKOUT]Gwen is going to die[/BLACKOUT] and 5 minutes later, Spider-Man is fighting the Rhino. There will probably be a good 15-20 minutes in between (which is actually quite a lot of time).

I HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY DOUBT the veracity of this supposed spoiler because it completely undermines the tragedy of Gwen's death to the point that having her die basically becomes pointless because you have little to no follow-up to it (even if you show her funeral, it completely undermines things to leap ahead a year because you're skipping over the whole grieving process that Peter would've needed to go through following said funeral)

see, i don't understand how this logic, which is pretty damn sound, is negated by yurka's word. if yurka was legit, then any and all spoilers would be consistent with said logic. but instead, it flies in the face of it.

that is enough to dismiss someone's word in the scientific community. a new theory is only a good theory if it explains things above and beyond the current understanding.

the manhole spoiler is inherently contradictory based on actual evidence, and not someone's word.

how can people not respect logic? is logic not more reliable than a stranger's word?

Out of all of the "spoilers" that I've read thus far, this one definitely makes the least sense with all of the information/footage that we currently have.

Thank you! This is exactly the issue. All of the reasonable logic points to the mech scene happening prior to the final battle with Electro and the final battle with Goblin, and the likely death of Gwen.

- First, it would be a huge anti-climatic move to be like "one year later" and have Peter fight Mech Rhino.

- It would be very anti-climatic to have Peter fight Mech Rhino, which is a lesser threat, after taking down Electro.

- Mech Rhino couldn't just appear out of nowhere. There would need to be some story (and time) devoted to showing Aleskei's escape, him getting to the mech, possibly the power source (I still believe he is trying to steal a power cell for the mech during the armored car chase), etc. This would be too story oriented, which is not what the end of the movie is supposed to be about.

- And then all of the dialogue between Gwen and Peter at the date does not support Mech Rhino happening after the finale.

I'm throwing the BS flag!!!!!

Repulsor already unequivocally proved Yurka wrong in the Gen. Discussion Thread (which, again, deserves some major kudos), so we have nothing to worry about.

This.

You do deserve some kudos for your posting work, Repulsor. I still don't like the idea of having the Rhino fight end the movie and I'm glad that you took the effort to prove Yurka incorrect. Your ocd is much stronger than mine, lol. No but seriously, thanks buddy.

What if it's an editing mistake and Yurka is right, lol?
