I don't think I was speaking to you JAK.

I do believe you're being quite rude though.

Are you okay? Feeling alright?

I like that. They even made the trunks look feasible. That's pretty cool.

Found these on Deviantart, some interesting ideas:

These are both pretty interesting. Drop some of the weirder design decisions on the top one (belt, gloves... nipples) and that would work fine. The bottom one would work fine right out of the box.

Pretty good-looking suits shown there. Nothing of the like will ever be used though, they have chosen a specific path to go on and a theme for the suit (if one could refer to it as such). The next one will most likely be more of the same but different enough to sell toys and justify the new look.

if Lucius said that the current suit would do fine against cats, i doubt they'll be changing it unless for a sturdier armor against Bane

Yes clearly beating 4 of Ras' ninjas and then Ras himself means that the Begins suit is too heavy. Those damn thugs proved the problem.

Look, i dont care what pitiful rationalizations Nolan uses to support the suit change, but the TDK suit looks atrocious to me. I assume that the Begins suit didnt allow him to film his fight scenes as well as he could (meaning barely better than what we got in BB) but i'd rather have the Begins suit than this piece of crap. Looks and actual mobility. Is it too much to ask for both?

Well we never saw the fight between batman and the thugs likely due to the begins suit being too immobile to showcase in good fighting scenes. And the Ra's fight was really constricted it was in a subway car so very little movement could be made by both.

Yes the TDK does not look nice to you but i feel for the points i made earlier it deserves some recognition here for the fact it's the first batman suit to be based on batman's fighting style and the need to be mobile.

I do feel the next suit will be an evolution of this and might look "nicer" to some of you. But it was the TDK suit that started the transition.

I think Schumacher had the most mobile suits. I never saw him constricted besides the neck area. Both in BF and B&R i never noticed the rubber crease like the armpits and abdomen of BB, and Batman did all those crazy fighting scenes no problem. Of course Schumacher didnt make a big deal out of its mobility, nor in or outside the movie universe, the suits simply did their job. And lets not forget NiteOwl.

Nolan did make a point of out it but we got a batman that is dressed in chainmail with jigsaw pads all over him. And you guys didnt like Bay's Megatron...

Sure, it may not be a Batman suit anymore, but the beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Batman costume or not, straying far away or not, for me the design just looks very cool and I like it.

Didn't Nolan compare to an actual...ahem...'knight'. Yeah, way to be subtle Chris.

Anyway, I have a deep suspicion that we'll be getting those white eyes this time around. With a more proper, intimidating bend. It'd make Batman-movie-history if that happens. Maybe he wouldn't be using it all the time, but we'll see more of it on screen than what we did in TDK.

As Earle said, Nolan and co. went out of their way to say that the suit was for protection and what it could protect against. I don't know about you guys, but I never really thought about it until it's brought up or shown. The idea of a character who could get hurt when shot actually being hit never occured to me since who ever tries to shoot them usually fails. When it's shown, a big deal is not made of it to the point of compromising his movement.

If we're told/shown the the previous films' suits were bulletproof, we just move on along and watch him get shot with no problem and then go ahead and fight with no problem other then turning his neck. Their suits weren't outright said that they were for protection.

I really hope thats not gonna happen. I hated it in the movie an couldnt believe Nolan did this. For me it felt so out of place and it was a thing that for me single handedly drained out all the realism and seriousness. It was too Schumacher-like, and after all, Schumacher first introduced the glowing eyes in his over the top poppy Batman Forever. It doesnt work in the movie, its too over the top

They also had nipples. Was it worth it?

EDIT: Nevermind, I misread and thought you liked the Schmacher suits the BEST because they were more mobile.

It can be debated that his panther-suit is the best. I really like that suit.:cwink:

In all seriousness, you're entitled to your own opinion, and I respect your opinion (however wrong it may be,lol) I WILL give you it is the best out of all the Schumacher suits, but that's not really saying much is it? We are talking about the same one, right?
