As silly as TDK suit? Does not comprehend since TDK suit isn't silly at all. And even if you consider it silly it's still incomprehensible that it would be anywhere near the catastrophe of the Batman Live suit.

The TDK suit is silly because it is unflattering for Christian Bale's body, making him look like he is short and has a big head. It's overdesigned with far too many segments, the legs are atrocious, the cape is basically a black towel wrapped around his neck and it's rubber... again.

The Batman Live costume is, once again, far too detailed, the cape is exactly the same as the TDK costume, and has equally atrocious legs.

The more I look at it the more Batman Live looks like Batman: Arthurian Legend. Batman looks like he should be jousting for the honor of his fair lady.

I don't think the TDK suit is silly but it does lack..elegance. BTW, it does have mesh (almost like chainmail...like a knight...a dark knight).

I actually like the cowl on the TDK suit; at least it's slimmer. If there was a way to combine the 'Begins' suit with the TDK's cowl, it would be grand.

Well to be fair... he does have a big head and Hugh Jackman did make him look short in The Prestige...

Eh, the TDK suit is still okay. It's not great, but it's certainly not as atrocious as the one from Batman Live. And I really don't get the comparison to Nolan's suits, Arkham Asylum's, or even Adam West's. No, if anything, Batman Live! is reminiscent of Val Kilmer's sonar bling, or Clooney's (and Robin, and the Batgirl who just friggin got her first suit, which is also crazy if you think why--or how--Uncle Alfred would have such intimate knowledge of her boobage... I should stop thinking).

To be honest, I do believe that was the intention . It's not like insulting is off-limits... right?

I agree the suit for Batman Live is a bit over the top, but the villains look good. The clips they've shown to look awesome to, I like how the opening shot of Gotham, it reminds me of the Mask of the Phantasm intro.

I think we can all agree however, this is DC's B*tchslap to Spider-Man Turn off the Dark's costume.

Yeah. The Live suit has the bolted leg look. Why the suit needs fastening bolts is beyond me. Does it look cool? In the video game world, with artificial light it looks great. In the real world, not so much. The TDK suit looks great and makes sense.

Yes, and I have a very good idea why. Toy sales for WB. Not even Nolan can escape that little demand from the boys at corporate.

All Batman movies have had a new costume. Every single one.

TDKR will be no different. Lucky that we have Nolan though who incorporates all the new costumes in a great way and allows some good screen time between Fox and Wayne.

Bale and Freeman have great chemistry so I definitely welcome the new suit along with hopefully a new mode of air transportation courtesy of applied sciences.

The day we get our first picture of Batman from TDKR is going to be huge for me.

It can go one of three ways.

1) The suit stays the same.
2) The suit changes, and looks better.
3) The suit changes, but looks worse.

Two out of those three would be disappointing for me. I don't like those odds .

WB will not let that roll even if God himself were directing.
