Considering he's made over a billion dollars with his Batman movies regardless of any "flaws" in his Batman's Batsuits, I sincerely doubt he gives two ****s what some guy with photoshop did on some comic book movie message board.

Of course not, but any real Batman fan recognizes the cowls he's used are crap and with a few minor tweaks they could look superb.

I actually liked the way the cowl looked but it just seemed awkward to have it so bulky for a realistic approach of the Batman Universe. However the costume, cowl included, did look good on film.

And yeah I'd like a bigger emblem as well. It seems to me they didn't want the emblem on the torso but they added it in a way it's not too visible.

Agreed.

I think it was that they wanted to put the symbol that they used in marketing on the suit, but they wanted to avoid the problem with it not fitting on the chest as was the situation when they tried to put that symbol on the BATMAN BEGINS suit. So for THE DARK KNIGHT, they made it small to avoid the problem altogether.

Please do not use the "No True Scottsman" fallacy here. I am a "real" Batman fan and I like the cowl.

Quickly did this. Thicker neck guard, straight ears, opened the mouth area (the dude needs more air) and gave him a noticable emblem like in BB.

Am I the only one who prefers the rounded ears like those on the Nolan Batman cowls?

If you ask 10 Batman fans what they would fix about the costumes, I bet 9 would say the cowl. You find that funny?

Yes.

I also find the whole "any REAL Batman fan" **** hilarious.

As if I, or anyone else who likes the cowl as is, am not a real Batman fan.

That's insulting.

Be constantly condescending and thats what you get. :oldrazz:

During debates, I've never seen a post of yours that wasn't condescending. No wonder this forum isnt what it used to be. :o

Then you haven't been paying enough attention.

Or maybe too much attention to make this comment, which was kinda creepy.

But I'm sure they (referring to the costume artists since it's not like Nolan built the batsuit) do care about improving their art, and some tweaks to the cowl would be a good start.

I find that pretty doubtful; really, judging from these boards, half (or more?) would probably say the suit is fine and the other half (myself included) would be a lot more concerned with the jigsaw puzzle rather than the cowl. Of course, in the absence of real data, it's pretty dubious to make an argument either way about what proportion of fans are going to say what.

Personally, I think the problems with the cowl (especially in TDK) were minor.

Lame, lame, megalame.

Im sure you are, youre just in the minority though

I may be in the minority, but I am no less of a Batman fan. I have been a fan of Batman longer than I can remember, and the cowl looks good to me.

Im just going off conversations here and offline, most people I know have no problems with the suits. I loved the Begins suit and thought the DK suit was great, however I thought the weak link in both was definitely the cowl, and most everyone else I've had this discussion with felt the same way. If you love the cowls, wonderful, my point was that I believe an overwhelming majority of fans would consider them the weak link on the suit.

I was getting a rise out of our friend above, apologies mates.

that's the funny thing about anecdotal evidence. More often than not, it usually fits into our own opinions pretty darn perfectly.

Yeah you were trolling. Congratulations.

Without getting even more condescending...I have 10 friends I consistently talk about comic movies with, 9 think the cowls have needed work. Done?

Yeah you were trolling. Congratulations.
You've done it 7,093 times. Congratulations :o

Yes, I know what your point was. I'm explaining that I think it's inaccurate.

Well I'm glad you have at least 9 real Batman fans in your life. I'm so happy for you.

So you've read all my posts? ALL of them?

And in each one of them I've been "trolling?"

Okie dokie.

Apology accepted.

You finished?

Yes, I know what your point was. I'm explaining that I think it's inaccurate.

Youve come to your conclusions based off of conversations here, and I'm sure elsewhere, as have I.

Agree but calling a Nolan MGS movie just an action film would be like calling a Nolan Batman film just another comic book movie

Well, aside from the fact that I wasn't referring to a "Nolan MGS movie" since that's a total hypothetical pipe dream and I was talking generally about Bale in action films (like Terminator: Salvation), I'd still stand by my statement, which I'm sure would be very unpopular around here -

As much as I love Bale in the Batman movies, I don't think he's stretched in them nearly as much as in something like The Fighter or Rescue Dawn.

Anyways, this is off-topic so I'll do my little part to be on topic. The suit is still just okay, and way overdesigned, yet somehow still the second best ever.

No, I love that look.

But I guess we probably shouldn't post here since we're not real Batman fans. :whatever:

The curved ears evoke a stronger bat ear image to me, and it's how I imagine Batman.
