Or maybe he just gets overconfident. Bruce couldn't stop him before, he can't stop him again.

True. I always believed that Bane's overconfidence will be a part of his downfall.

Does anyone else find it kind of hard to believe that there could be TWO Rā's flashbacks, one with Pence and one with Neeson? I'm inclined to believe Neeson's "cameo" will be in the present day

Ra's is dead. There's no way I believe his cameo, if it even makes the movie, is present day of him being alive.

Right now I'm envisioning Neeson's cameo being akin to Ursula's in this clip.

Minus the talking Seagull and singing of course...

The Pence flashback will definitely be with Joey King (young Talia). The Neeson flashback will most likely be with Cotillard (or maybe Hardy).

Liam Neeson is Rā's. Rā's can't die and Death is scared of Liam Neeson. Ipso facto, Rā's is alive :hehe:

Just joshing, but in all seriousness I don't think even Nolan would fully ignore Rā's's most distinctive character trait: his immortality.

However it turns out, it'll just be great to see Neeson with the Rā's al Goatee again :woot:

The trailer premieres at cinemacon in two weeks! That's my hunch at least, but I think it's pretty obvious. Nolan is going to be there on the 24th.

I think he has, and he will continue to do so, as well.

Ra's was killed at the LoS base in Bruce's past.

Ra's came back to attack Gotham.

It's a play on what immortality is in Nolan's grounded universe,

Ra's Al Ghul may be dead, but his ideals are alive and present.

Ra's(Ducard) never died at the LOS temple in BB. He was saved by Bruce when he was sliding off the edge of the mountain, and then given to the old guy. So I don't see how you're making some connection that he died, and then came back to life to attack Gotham. It was spelled out in the movie that the faux Ra's was just a decoy, and that Ducard was the real Ra's all along, so I'm not buying that explanation.

Nolan's Ra's isn't immortal. It's just how it is.

norek his motivations could simply be that he's power hungry the same reason why he altered his body to make him the most powerful

it could simply be bane is a power junkie

in TDK Alfred said some men just want to watch the world burn

what if bane wants to control the flames of that burning world

Between the rave reviews on Avengers, and some of the comments I read here, I wonder how enjoyable TDKR is going to be.

I'm not all that interested in a movie about a older Batman who comes back, gets beaten down, and only ends up with half hearted victories, especially if the movie title implies his "Rise". If Nolan takes that route, I'll just have to see how he tackles it.

Maybe Nolan will finally lighten up on the realism factor...?

...

Yeah, no, he's dead.

More like cheap parlor tricks to conceal his true identity.
