To be fair, there are plenty non-Avengers Nolan haters on here. Just praise Nolan more than once and they come out of the shadows like crazies.

Are we still doing this petty "Marvel vs DC" war? come on kids...
No, someone's just finally linked "that guy." He's not even a Marvel fan, he's a DC fan (favorite characters are Dick and Clark Kent) who hates Nolan, Raimi and Burton and dedicates his life to bashing and trolling their fans and uses any leverage possible (in this case his viewing of Avengers) to try and make a point against them. Mostly it's just an excuse to throw around a lot of profanities and behave like a manchild, though.

I made it 2 minutes in :o

It seems like that guy would have been entertained by Green Lantern...

Don't sweat it, those people/posts are far and in between for both fanbases, most of us are usually respectful.

Agreed.

BigThor, Chewy, Cherokeesam, Filmchick85, and several others come to mind.

Posters like Shadowlord X and xenooo, on the other hand, bash Nolan on any given opportunity. The contradictions are outrageously hilarious.

Still see no reason why RedSkull has to post that link...that's clearly filled with profanity...Where's Bamfer when you need him? :o

getting back to Bane...and Hardys size. i think he's bigger in TDKR than Warrior. well he looks more pure muscle in Warrior but bigger overall as Bane. It's also what he wears as Bane, the camera angles, etc.

I was very impressed when i saw him in Warrior. My dad has no idea who he is, and when i watched it with him he was like "Holy ****, THAT guy is ****ing built. Look at his shoulders. He walks like a gorilla." Hahaha. And he has that swagger going as Bane too. Didnt they model Hardys Bane after a silverback gorilla or something? lol thought i heard that somewhere. The man can totally do these physically intimidating roles. Bronson was big but a lot of fat around the muscle. Warrior he was a beast, a caged animal who just didnt stop, pure muscle. And Bane he seems bigger than the two even though alot of you guys say he doesnt look as big, i disagree.

Hardys gonna be scary as **** in this movie.

Yeah, and it was the same people calling this video "awesome" when it got posted over there. It doesn't represent the whole of them, there's some really cool people on the Marvel boards... but there's some rotten apples when the Marvel/DC thing comes up, much like here but I'll say I personally don't find even our biggest DC supporters that excessive.

Any self-respecting Marvel/Avengers fan shouldn't be publicly praising that kind of dribble. That dude is Star Wars kid-level embarrassing/hilarious. Even if I agreed with him, I wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole.

But form what I can tell, the fans here gave The Joker more heat at first, and then totally lightened up after more pics released(The Wizard and Empire pics come to mind). The GA, on the other hand, seemed to like it on most movie websites. As for Catwoman, it seems to still be mixed with fans and the GA, regardless of where you go.

It really wasn't until the first full trailer in december was released that people started to mellow out. Up until then we still had the debates going. Perma-white was at it's height then, because we still weren't sure if he was make-up only or not. There were so many crazy theories. (The makeup stains his skin and becomes permanent, he's applied some flesh makeup around the edges to make it look like the white is the makeup...etc. etc.)

That's pretty funny. Why would he go to such trouble? :funny:

For 2 sec I thought it was actual footage being shot from TDKR. My face! :o

I wonder how it will turn out; the costumes look decent.

I hope the explosions from TDKR can live up to that.

Fixed.

Edit: That's actually been posted here before. Still cool, though.

I like Marvel and DC. I will go see Avengers,Spiderman and TDKR. Hopefully I will enjoy them all. But if you want to know my favorite I'd have to put Defendor up there near the top. A great story with a lot of heart. And a lot of people have never even heard of it.

Sure we're obviously all biased towards TDKR here, it's the bat boards, but i rarely see any real Avengers HATE, or hate towards it's fanboys. Everywhere else I go people go...nolanite this nolanite that...nasty stuff.

Agreed. Batman's world is top dog for me and I frequent these boards the most, but I can't wait to see The Avengers. I might even manage to see it early via competion entries. It's not the same level of anticpation, but I do think I will enjoy myself quite a bit.

Already got my ticket for next week, I can't wait. I really wanted to be even more excited for this film during it's production, but there was so many Marvel vs DC stuff and make mine marvel bs, it's nearly ruined the film, because it's been antagonized for me, people make it feel like a competition, that i possibly cannot love and admire both the dark knight and the avengers, it's unfairly made me nearly despise the film on principle thanks to the select "fans" who ruin it.

That was pretty much the argument against that whole theory. But people were pretty desperate.

I'll admit, I was pro-perma-white during that whole debate. Though mostly because it thoroughly annoyed me when you had people saying "bleached skin is too unrealistic for this movie, because these movies are realistic etc." That started to bug me, because these films really aren't that realistic. I think it was purely a visual choice on Nolan's part to go with the white makeup.

The release of the Two-Face picture further cemented my view on that, because Two-Face's look in TDK was about as unrealistic as you could get. So really, it was just the annoying insistence of "teh realizm" that I was debating back in the "great perma-white debates."

Also on the Avengers thing: I'm just as excited for that as I am TDKR. I have been noticing some of the "nolanite" comments and such, and that is disappointing. In fairness, there was a good year there after TDK came out where some bat-fan posters were insufferable to be around. But that's by and large disappeared.

And actually, I'm thoroughly pleased that (going off the WOM) TDKR will have some major competition in terms of what's going to be the best received comic film. And that's awesome. I would love it if some of the best reviewed films this year are comic book movies. I'm a comic fan. Period. Be it DC, Marvel, or Image. So a good comic book movie is a always a good thing to me.
