I swear we're not that ugly

Well, the other day I was disappointed to see one of those threads turn into a TDK/Nolan bashfest simply because a reviewer dared to compliment Avengers by saying it was similar quality to TDK. That apparently was a huge insult to some of the comic book snobs over there who think Nolan's Batflicks aren't even comic book movies, "just crime dramas." Seriously, the anti-Nolan pretentiousness in some of those posts was every bit as bad as the pretentiousness that the Batboards are accused of.

Well, the other day I was disappointed to see one of those threads turn into a TDK/Nolan bashfest simply because a reviewer dared to compliment Avengers by saying it was similar quality to TDK. That apparently was a huge insult to some of the comic book snobs over there who think Nolan's Batflicks aren't even comic book movies, "just crime dramas." Seriously, the anti-Nolan pretentiousness in some of those posts was every bit as bad as the pretentiousness that the Batboards are accused of.

Yeah, and it was the same people calling this video "awesome" when it got posted over there. It doesn't represent the whole of them, there's some really cool people on the Marvel boards... but there's some rotten apples when the Marvel/DC thing comes up, much like here but I'll say I personally don't find even our biggest DC supporters that excessive.

Don't sweat it, those people/posts are far and in between for both fanbases, most of us are usually respectful.
