I love the people who come on this forum and literally act like a living parody of Nolan/Batman fans. They don't make me angry, I just think they're hilarious!:D

Ok. I can't read too much but just tell me this from all your reviews and first reactions:

This movie is good right? :funny:

Sweet venus, yes. This film is great judging from reactions so far.

Venus:
All parties seem to be loving it. The critics gave it a standing ovation. Nearly everyone says it tops the last one.

Critics giving standing ovations is not something that happens often.

I thought the standing ovation comment was from months ago?

Oh wow. Thank you. Sounds great. That's all I need to know. :D

And it sucks that Blue_Sugar was banned :(

With the reactions so far, I think this should explain a lot.

Sometimes...I think about the movie and stand up and clap too so I believe that TDKR gets those standing ovations, man. :o

theShape told us everyone got up and clapped. So it happened again it seems.

I think there's something hidden inside all TDKR screenings that make the people stand up and clap. This must be investigated.

This is just the beginning. If they hit the whole world with TDKR toxins, there's nothing to stop the world from tearing itself apart through mass panic.

My source just updated me about the events of the screening:
Nolan breaks the fourth wall!

During the credits, Omar Mustafa himself came into the screening with his Falafel Cart, handing out free falafel to everyone after the showing. There was a standing ovation with critics drawing full circles in the air.

Also, one of the people attending the screening was Mark Boone Junior AKA Flass. He said it was the best falafel he ever tasted and thanked Nolan personally.

I'll be able to stop Nolan, but I may need your help.

You're 100% certain? I don't mind either way, but I wonder how you would react if that was exactly what happened.

Honestly? Yes. I am 100% completely and totally certain.

It has been very clearly laid out that these films are about Bruce Wayne first and foremost. They are about Bruce Wayne and his crusade to save Gotham and heal his own pain.

Anyone other than Bruce Wayne wearing the cape and cowl in the trilogy would be a slap in the face to the entire history set up the Nolan's and Goyer since Batman Begins.

How would I react?

I would hate it; honestly, truly hate it.

Not because it's a bad idea. I'm sure, one day, someone could do something like a direct Knightfall storyline in a live-action setting and give us Jean Paul Valley's Batman; and I would love that, because he still has the coolest Batman costume ever.

However, in the context of Nolan's Batverse, it literally goes against the entire storyline. These films are about Bruce Wayne. Someone else being Batman cheapens that like you wouldn't believe.

For the new thread...

TDKR ENDING REVEALED!!! Read at your own discretion.

Batman fails to get the bomb away in time, Gotham is destroyed, but the kids at the orphanage manage to escape through the underground tunnels in the batcave.

The final scene is the orphanage kids having a surprise encounter with a food cart. And who's behind it?

[BLACKOUT]
The Falafel Vendor.[/BLACKOUT]

The camera pans in on his face as he says "I have kids to feed."

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES

Full circle.

:awesome:

The Falafel Vendor Rises

(I was looking for the Falafel Vendor Rise poster, but I can't find it! :()

Hmm. You don't mean the one from my avy, do you? Because as far as I know Matt never released a poster version of that.

There was another one that was done by someone else though. Don't know where that is.

theShape told us everyone got up and clapped. So it happened again it seems.

No standing ovation at my screening, only applause. Then again, there were only 40-50 people in my screening for a theater that can hold over 500.

Someone else said something about a standing O.
