However if its something like "Is Tate Talia?" they'll leave it alone completely.

So if this "twist" is supposed to be the ending they'll likely say if it is fake.

If that makes sense, which it likely doesn't

I read about that "rumour" several hours ago (I can't remember the site) but the person was just speculating... just doing some fanboyesque dreaming about possibilities. They haven't seen the film.

I see what you're saying, though responding to rumours and speculation one way or another could potentially cause one to think the answer is being given to them in an alternative way, as the way our minds work and wander causes us to think further and outside the box, often unnecessarily.

For example, debunking a rumour outright such as the one you mentioned rules it out. But alternatively not responding to one at all with them saying they are unwilling to touch it, could possibly cause one to start to wonder there is something in it. The silence is deafening and all that sort of stuff, etc.

I reckon it's best they just don't comment at all on anything thrown at them, if an un-spoiler route is the way they want to go.

Supposing this were true (which I really doubt at this point), would it really be that bad? I mean, are you seriously expecting to like every single aspect of this movie?
