i knew banes mask would break!

i had a few people on here getting pissed because i said his mask looked fragile and that being a novice knife maker i learned a lot about different metals and their individual crystalline structures and strengths and weaknesses

you have to learn all about that stuff before you even think about making a knife now when i look at the mask i see some of the tubes have a patina which means they are carbon steel now which kind of carbon steel i'm not sure but the color makes me think tool steel which is a tough steel but since they are just tubes attached to a composite material you can understand how the mask could break

The question is: How did it get off the truck into the street.
batman uses a rope/wire from the batwing . he connects it to the bomb and then batwing take's of. the stakes are very high because Selina hugh's Batman.

Yeah its on the HEMTT truck, apparently Gordon is on top of the truck during the chase trying to defuse it whilst Catwoman and Batman chase on their respective rides.

This scene sounds so amazing, I really can't wait to see it.

Then why is it on the ground?
we know that the batwing take's of in the video. why is the batwing close to the ground and why is the bomb on the ground? i dont know.

maybe they filmed just a long shot of the batwing flying above the ground with the bomb on the wire. then the paparrazzi got pics durring the brake.

i think we see 20 seconds on the bomb.

Wow you guys really do wanna know what goes pm in every part of the movie before you see it. It doesn't bother you even a little that you know so much beforehand? I know this is spoilers but this discussion isn't leaving much to the imagination.

wondering where is Gordon when the truck crashes down. he is not on the batpod. could he be inside the batwing? or was he on the truck when it crashes?:yay:

It does sound and look like a great scene. Do we think this is the climax of the movie. Or will it just be the Pruitt building of the movie???

in summer i made a decision to not spoil myself with details.

then Nolan said '' f... it i will film everything on location and spoile Miranda Tate.because using a real location is more important then protecting the story ''

from there on i read everything.

the idea of Bane dying in city hall only for Tatelia to take over and the grand finale being Batman chasing Talia sounds really underwhelming im hoping the finale is Batman vs a rabid Bane but Nolan always manages to make my doubts vanish so heres to the best

Agreed, it'll be extremely underwhelming. I hope that's not the case.

Totally agree.

As much as I'd hate it, too, I could imagine it being a remote possibility. The Joker was absent from the final confrontation in TDK. It centered around Batman, Dent, and Gordon.

So Talia sort of taking the reigns of the LOS for the big showdown doesn't sound entirely impossible.

True now that I think of it Joker did get left hanging for the GCPD to get while Batman then went after Two-Face so i guess this could be something similar. Its just with this being the finale and all a final battle with Bane sounds alot more epic than chasing Talia.

I read every description for the prologue 5x over, but when I actually saw it, I almost threw up with excitement - I could barley stand. :o

I'm not worried about knowing the details, in the slightest.

Besides, until we're 100% sure about this, everything said is just speculation.

Maybe Catwoman helps Batman take down Bane in the court house?

I would love to know what she's doing there while the big fight is going on outside.

Well, it wouldnt be the first time Nolans main villian isnt apart of the conclusion.

WHOA. Bane's mask breaks?? Just got on this thread. Where did the mask thing come from??

“Good evening ladies and gentle-man…”

I’ve been reading and reading, just like all of you, because the next seven months will be excruciating. I’ve promised myself that I’ll look at no more spoilers, but speculation is too fun give up.

Seems like the conversation on the supposed sewer fight has pretty much stopped. It sounds about right though… A brutal defeat. The worst, perhaps. If combat is what you do, and is the corner stone of your results, a defeat in which you gave your all but were being toyed with would be devastating. If it does play out this way, the inevitable second fight will have that much more gravity. If a prize fighter is conquered in such a way that usually spells the end of their career. But, this is no prize fighter.

Bruce Wayne to me is will power personified. Almost everything he does is through mental focus and strength of will. You could train hundreds of world class athletes and give them Wayne Tech, but they wouldn’t last one night as Batman. It is Bruce’s will that allows him to survive as Batman. So, he loses badly, finds inspiration to recover after a period of self doubt, of course, but soon achieves peak form to challenge Bane. I’m reminded a bit of the mutant battles in “The Dark Knight Returns”. I just hope Batman doesn’t need too much trickery to beat bane in the rematch. Oh, and I hope Bane gives the proper respect when he realizes the man he thought he crippled has come back stronger, possibly even stronger than himself. Perhaps more what he expected form the “champion of Gotham.”

Sorry for the long post, but this is what has occupied most of my thoughts regarding TDKR. How will the fights play out, how will Bruce adapt, where will he get his motivation, and how will Bane react to Bruce’s superior power of will?

So is Bane's physical ailments a result of Wayne's blowing up the LOS in BB? Maybe Bane was jealous of Wayne being the 'star pupil' all those years, etc....

An intersting thought. Just an observation. Deaths did result when Bruce set that fire. Just sayin'.
