This B-roll footage from The Dark Knight is awesome. I hope we get the same for TDKR.

I have a theory about Lucius Fox and his part in this story which would also account for his absence in the trailer...
I think that in the eight years between TDK and TDKR Fox will have retired from Wayne Enterpises, at least as CEO, but possibly still supplies Bruce with gadgets. After Bruce recovers from his beating at Bane's hands, he goes to Fox and asks about a particular vehicle and thus, we have the Batprawn. It could even be a 'one last favour' sort of thing.
Not a bad theory.
However the Batprawn exist Pre-Bane
Wait how do you know that?
GCPD is chasing Batman at to capture him; all of the force is after him. Bane may be around but is not seen more of a threat than Batman (he doesn't have the tumblers yet)
After Bane appears he's the focus of everything, there's no business as usual.
Wait I thought the Batprawn is the Batwing right? You're saying there's a police chase with the Batwing/prawn that happens before Bane shows up?
Interesting, so that means the big chase scene with the cops doesn't occur directly after TDK unless he's had the ship in the making during the events of TDK...Indeed, the first reveal and then it makes a triumphant return when going against the Tumblers and HEMTT truck

how do you show that the police is still after Batman after 8 years? do you show that after 8 years they are still chasing him. or do you show a scene 5 mintues after TDK where the police is chasing batman and then jump t foreward in time 8 years and have Gordon say that the police is still after Batman?
what is going on here?
i edited my post. i added more .When Gordon is put out, Foley takes over. To show that he can be as effective as Gordon ( a war hero) he sets out to do something Gordon never could (would) and that's catch Batman.

the main point of the police chase is that the police is after batman.still after 8years. you set this up so that in the third act you can have development from batman/police and Gotham. they fight together to defeat Bane . its also a bonus that Foley is taking over.
but i ask again . as a writter why would you show an action scene that takes place 5 minutes after TDK and then jump 8 years in the future?
Isn't the Bat-Prawn in TDK?
I'm sure someone posted a screencap of when Coleman Reese hands over the blueprints to Fox and it's on the right hand side of the page.
Can someone check that out and clarify?
i am asking shh members who thinks that its after TDK.I'm not sure why you're asking me that. I've already said it DOES NOT take place right after TDK but, rather closer to the second act of TDKR.
exhausted Batman comes back for a job and to his dismay is hunted by GCPD after its completed and just when we think Batman's fatigue may get the best of him, he pulls the Batwing/Thing out of an alley and flies off into the night.

I'm not of the opinion that it is right after Dark Knights ending, but it wouldn't be THAT out of the question if it was, it would actually be very similar to the Bourne Ultimatum opening. Did you see that? Or Fast Five's opening for that matter.
we've done this 1,000 times.
The plans are of the tumbler. Which is what the topic of conversation is between Reese and Fox.
