They do? I'm really out of the loop on this JL stuff..

In an article about Affleck being approached for a Director role it said he was gonna read a script. So a JL script is already completed.

Yep. Will Beall has been writing it for over a year apparently. They offered the movie to Ben Affleck, but he turned it down. So they're still looking for a director.

WB will be wasting no time in pushing out another Batman. A WB representative said they already have plans for a reboot soon (or something to that effect).

Yup. I remember actually rolling my eyes when I read that because TDKR wasn't even out yet at that time and they were already broadcasting the reboot. The talks are fine and expected but broadcasting it when the last of Nolan's trilogy wasn't even out yet was a bit annoying.

Wow! Kinda' surprised they're moving forward this soon with a new Batman, but hey this is Hollywood afterall. :whatever:

^ That was the exact moment I realized Bale was British.

For those interested, The Wachowskis (The Matrix, V for Vendetta) and Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland, Gangster Squad) are on the short list for Justice League.

In my opinion, I'm kinda relieved. So long as The Wachowskis dont mess with the script, I'm excited.

Ruben's lack of experience is a bit intimidating but Gangster Squad appears great so I'm sold.

I'm a huge fan of the Matrix trilogy and Cloud Atlas actually looks pretty amazing. I'd still be surprised if they got the job though. I think they turned down Batman once in the past.

You never know though.

With Affleck out of the running, it's down to Yates, Fleischer and The Wachowskis.

Word on the street is that WB was swayed by Cloud Atlas, so I take that as a positive sign for the film. The question now is will The Wachowskis finally say yes to a superhero movie? I hope so.

Haven't seen anything overly impressive with Fleischer TBH.

I've got to admit...the idea of a Wachowski-helmed Justice League film kind of tickles me. I know it would probably be seen as a controversial choice, but I'd rather they go with something bold than play it too safe. It needs that X factor if they want to launch it without solo films leading up to.

Also, the Wachowskis definitely tend to gravitate towards strong female roles, so maybe the allure of being the first to do Wonder Woman on the big screen could lure them in.

(And yes, I realize Larry is now Lana and yes it is VERY weird.)

Zombieland was a solid director debut. 30 Minutes or Less, however, was a dud.

I'll be keeping a close eye on Gangster Squad, but I'm loving what I'm seeing thus far.

If Wachowskis get on board would mean more slow mo. :o

Well, at least we'd have some badass fight scenes with the Wachowskis.

Where are people getting Ruben flietcher from about Justice League?I haven't read anything about him?

I would love to see The Wachowskis in a Justice League movie. If they do half as great as they did in the Matrix, it is going to be a really awesome movie.

Why do you not want them to mess with the script? I've always perceived the story of the Matrix as one of the movie's strongest elements.
