Admittedly, if I were asked for money I too would turn into a huge green rage monster... haha

But seriously, whereas Bale is generating positive press for TDKR, he generated even more negative after TDK.

Oh and next time you see him, give him my most sincere congratulations on a job well done. :)

It's kind of ironic, considering Bale's Batman was a lot colder and questionable with his actions in TDK, yet in TDKR Bruce was definitely more warm and outwardly inspiring.

Nice to see that the good stuff that Bale is doing is getting out as well.

This whole negative/positive press reminds me of a certain deleted exchange. ;)

"We are the sum of our mistakes."
"Or our achievements."
"The mistakes stick better. Trust me."

Just another reason these movies are so enjoyable ... they are very relavant and somewhat relatable!

The man Bale clearly has class, yeah he has made mistakes in his past, but who hasn't. Good on him:up:

No doubt his detractors will gloss over and miss things like this and focus on the negative but thats the UK press for you:whatever:

Reading that story of Bale and the kid , i remembered that final quote of him to jim gordon

A hero can be anyone. Even a man doing something as simple and reassuring as putting a coat around a little boy's shoulders to let him know that the world hadn't ended.

Congrats to him , a little gesture sometimes means a lot.

Will someone tell that hot head to calm down and stop revealing WB's plans.

Kittens will burn if that's what a Director's Cut Pre-Order calls for; otherwise, it's just rumors. Nolan's not one to put out anything deleted.

Would be nice though.

Speaking of deleted scenes, in TDK there was a scene of Batman running across the cop cars and there was even a still of him crouched on top of one, and another of him standing on the cop car.

Anyone know what was happening in this scene? Would have really loved to have been able to see it.

I believe it was after the interrogation scene and he's running to da batpod. They even used the still you mentioned a couple of times for TDKR.

Nolan's never had deleted scenes released. :oldrazz:

He's smug. But I like him :D What about for Prestige or Memento? I may be wrong but didn't they have deleted scenes released for those?

Cos he only shoots what he works out in his extensive pre-production!

IMAX messed things up this time so now..maybe..we can get our full cut on blu-ray.

I hope we do -- especially after the slip-up on Bane's origin.

i thought he had reason to go off on his family?

Didn't he become the breadwinner for his family when he was like 11 or something? I lose my **** on my family on much smaller things. Bale's a godsend, good to see he's doing what he can. I remember he visited a Chinese journalist who was imprisoned for having political differences with the party... and got pushed over by the local authorities, which he posted on CNN about. SO yeah, ask me he's making Superman look bad: getting awards and accolades for his job, spreading hope by visiting children, and fighting for the American Way. How's that for superhero?

Nope.

It may be too soon to talk about the reboot, but I want bryan cranston as the next jim gordon.

apologies if this has been discussed already, but what in the world was the point of the short 1-2 minute scene of the mercs trying to kill Gordon in the hospital and Blake also rushing there?

"Every cop in the city is down there" "not every cop" then this scene plays out;
i mean why in the world would the mercs care so much about killing Gordon when they only trapped the other cops? and why kill Gordon? did they fear his super cop abilities? also even though there were no real ordinary citizen scenes Gordon still alive would help fuel hatred toward the corrupt when Bane reads Gordon's admission (since here they are trying to kill him before Bane does this)

and Miranda didn't bother having Gordon killed when she was alone with him searching for the truck; so they didn't really care about him being dead it at that point

either i'm missing something completely or this was a totally pointless scene/plot point

I assume they thought that Gordon would be an instrument of hope for the rest of the useless police force. He wasn't. Only the Batmen (Bruce and Blake) were the least bit competent in getting things done. So they died for nothing. Poor LOS extremists. May they rest in peace.

The information about the supposed deleted scene is confusing--the lady talks as if it was filmed, in which case I would expect to see it in some form on the Blu-Ray or DVD. BUT of course Nolan has a tendency to only film things that will be in the movie and to put all those things in the theatrical cut--which would make me think that the scene wasn't filmed.

Agreed. Classy move on his part. Also nice of him to go visit the kid in colorado hospital back in July.

Just got back from another screening...15 times thus far. Still can't get over those Blake scenes and Talia death....Ugh! Anyone know what music is playing when Bruce visits Gordon in the Hospital? It's just ridiculously epic in my estimate. Good to be back on hype!
