I actually re-watched TDK last week, after I was skimming through the "is TDK overrated" thread.

I just got done watching both BR and B89 for their anniversaries, and I also got done with MOTP after I watched TDK. Last week was basically a lot of Batman movies.

Ill be watching Rises sometime this summer. In all its surround sound, blu-ray glory. Still the best movie ive ever seen when it comes to the adrenaline rush of the sound and video quality, with the action sequences of course.

Of course, it happens all the time. There are movies outside of your Nolan world that gets the same treatment.

Exactly. Fight choreography has never been a perfect thing, only with martial arts films or from directors who barely put out substance, just visual spectacle, where they can put all their focus on that.

When it comes to fighting at the center of the action, i dont think Nolan is bad at all. I never had a problem with his batman fights. Inception was well done.

I've been meaning to do another ultimate Batman marathon. The last time I did one was days before TDKR came out.

Honestly, I do too.

I think that's because I saw that scene 7 months before the rest of the film.

LOL I love this gif.

I love the bank sequence, particularly for the Joker's reveal. The music when he takes off the clown mask, and says "stranger" and then grins.

Epic.

The bank scene is excellent, but for some reason, them using it for the IMAX promo just makes the scene skippable for me.

That's exactly why. I watched that scene hundreds, if not thousands of times before TDK even came out.

The bank scene is cool as hell. But it always bothers me that the people Joker shoots apparently have white powder instead of blood. The lack of squibs kinda takes me out of the scene.

Speaking of bad choreography( ), the part where the bus comes in and hits the goon. It's so incredibly bad how far apart the bus was from even touching the guy.
