The Venom Fight: Spider Vs. Spider

I hope the fight between Venom and Spidey is gritty, violent, and intense as the final fight was with GG and Spidey was in the first film. That still ranks up as my favorite battle considering the emotion and the sheer intensity of it.

Actually, I agree 100% on that! I loved that final battle with GG and Spidey, it's so brutal and intense. I hope theres something like that with Spidey and Venom.

agreed, and i think that the final battle with venom and spidey will be even more brutal and intese considering the fact that venom is the strongest villian in this movie.

And I think that considering that this could be Raimi and Maguire's last Spidey flick, maybe they'll extend on their possibilities...as in, give us ONE HELL OF A BATTLE ROYALE worth the wait of this film, and worth the glory of Venom, Sandman, The New Goblin, and Spider-Man. There's no telling how great this battle is going to be, but I'd say that we can expect the greatest thing our eyes have EVER seen! [blackout]And we do know that this battle ends with the death of 2 OR possibly 3 of the characters. We know that Venom dies, and we know that Harry dies, but we don't know Sandman's fate yet. The symbiote lives on supposedly with just Eddie Brock dying (dangn't!) and Peter of course survives.[/blackout] It will be VERY interesting to see what kind of things happen during this battle...and how it ends.

And don't doubt for a second that Raimi and Co. are working on this "Battle Royale" as we speak right now, because it's probably the most CGI-filled sequence in the film, between Venom and Sandman, added with NG and Spidey...loads of CGI that will take quite awhile to finish! Maybe we'll see new Battle Royale footage in February's new trailer.

As the title says it I want the Spider-Man / Venom fight to NOT be lackluster. If Avi Arad URGED Raimi to use Venom, I hope he took special care with the fight sequence.

I want this to be a Spider Vs. Spider match. I want to see them crawling on a building almost chasing eachother, or even on a giant web. I want to see them scrambling and fighting eachother as if two tarantuala's were fighting.

I want something spectacular. I want something that it deserves.

Who's with me on this sentiment?

I'm expecting blood, teeth, and symbiot to be flying everywhere! But as long as there's alot of Venom's famous taunting! You know, threatening to kill MJ or Aunt May. Peter not being able to use his Spider sense. Classic Comic style Spidey/Venom fight!

yeah, i hope we see new battle royal footage in the new trailer because it would get us even more excited. it takes months of work to finish cgi and they have to make sure they do it right and make it look right.

i think the battle royal in spidey3 will show a true comic book movie battle and i'm talking a huge BRAWL with kicks, punches, jumping, and swinging. it will be the most amazing battle ever seen in a superhero movie. i have very good thoughts of this final battle and i think it will be like nothing we have seen befor.

Forgive me if this is a dumb question (I haven't been keeping up with the Spider-man 3 news) but didn't Raimi say Venom was only going to appear in the last 5 minutes of the movie? Also if Venom is to appear earlier in this movie I think it's a bad move. You already got 2 villians a third one just complicates things. I think they should just focus on the 2 villians and save Venom for a fourth movie so we can see an entire movie of spider vs. spider action.

harry isn't a proper villian though. he just fights peter once at the start, and then will probabaly turn good later on, he dosn't do anything else though.

hopes for me:Fight 10 mins
Violent like the final fight in Spiderman 1 but better and Sandman joins in eventually

venom shouldnt die so soon ( unless they have an awesome battle), there is more potential , i think they need to make a back to back spider-movie and end one on a cliffhanger , more so than spiderman 2 did

How do you know Venom and Harry die?

Harry, maybe, but I doubt the symbiote will be completely destroyed.

Why do they have to kill off all the villains? I can understand Norman and Harry, but why did they have to kill Doc Ock? And why do they plan to kill Eddie?

Why can't we just have some kind of supervillain prison?

Mmm... hard to say, but for me it will last like the train sequence in SM2. So, we have 4 fight sequences so far: the truck and the subway with Sandman, the Green Goblin II one, and then the Venom fight. This should kick @ss for sure.

I CAN'T WAIT

D!

I agree, I see no reason to kill off every villain. Like you said, I understand why Norman and Harry should die (Like they did in the comics), I wasn't to pleased when Ock died. And now they're going to kill off Eddie Brock.

"I hurt myself today...to see if I still feel.."

I I wasn't to pleased when Ock died

I think Raimi explained once that he thinks Doc is not dead. In the comic books this things happen, and then somehow they're back again ^ ^ so, I don't think he's dead. In fact, I always thought that him being in a prison with his four tentacles attatched to the walls (like in the 90's cartoon) would've been great.

D!

As far as the Venom vs Spidey fight. I dont want no one else involved in it except those two. Having Harry or Sandman interfere would just take the attention of the fight. And it would only disappoint me.

I agree with you, but you see to Raimi, death is the ultimate ending for the villains because they end up paying for their sins.

And in the case of Ock and Goblin, they brought about their own downfall.

Sandman looks like he might be the only one to avoid getting the chop. And the only reason that is happening is because the two other villains are going to die. A third villain dying might have been too much.

So Sandman is going to live, due to his little girl's intervention.

But why does Eddie Brock have to die? They just begin introducing him as a character and Venom only appears at the last 15 mins of the movie and they kill him off? What good reason is there for that?

I already told you above, Venom is going to die for his sins, just like the others did. That's the moral of the story. Being the bad guy is never a good thing. We all have to face up to what we did eventually.

I don't agree with killing off the villains all the time, but as a director, I can see Raimi's point of view.

And Sandman's ending sounds good, because he is ultimately doing all this for his child. So it's kind of poetic that his kid is what stops him.

Ok, I get what you are saying about a villain paying for his sins therefore he must die, but with the amount of screen time Venom has? Do you think he'd even have enough time to commit any sins before he goes to fight Spider-Man. And the only sin that Eddie Brock was going to commit was suicide in the church but its against his religion. So he asked for forgiveness from GOD and then the Symbiote comes out of nowhere latching onto him. So unless Raimi comes up with a way to make Eddie Brock commit a sin, I dont see the point in killing him.

yeah, there will always be consequences in what the villians did. you make a very good point Doc Ock..

Well, from what we know, he kidnaps MJ and tries to kill Peter, and probably Harry, too.

Plenty of sins there.
