The Walking Dead The Walking Dead Season 5, Episode 8 "Coda" Discussion Thread

So what was the logic behind stabbing dawn?

I think she expected Dawn to kill her, thus forcing the others to kill Dawn. Still pretty stupid on her part, risking her friend's lives with a possible shootout like that, but I guess she was doing it to save Noah and the others at the hospital.

I find it weird that Maggie FINALLY cares about Beth after all this time. Before she didn't give a crap about whether she was alive or dead.

Instead of feeling bad, I was side-eyeing her when she was breaking down and crying when she saw Daryl carrying Beth. :oldrazz:

Honestly I would have been okay with Carol dying to save Beth. Beth was starting to become awesome and then this happens...

While a part of me thought Maggie was acting weird on forgetting Beth while the other part thought she held out hope that she was alive leading up to that moment outside the hospital

Beth should've threw Dawn down the elevator shaft too when she had the chance.

Beth dying is sad, but to me she was one of the least interesting characters on the show so I can't say I'm really going to miss her. Sorry, Beth. Still, she didn't deserve to go out like that. Daryl and Maggie's reaction to it affected me way more emotionally than the death itself.

And wow, the social media department at AMC totally spoiled the death on their Facebook page. What a bunch of ***holes.

Beths death seemed really useless to me. They have this thing about seperating a character for basically an entire season, then finally reuniting them with the group only to kill them off.

LOL I posted a comment of their Facebook page. It sucks for those that follow the page on the west coast and other time zones.

Im just numb to the character deaths. Same thing happened to me an Game of Thrones. So many characters die that it loses it's emotional weight for me

The only characters that I'd feel some type a way about dying are: Daryl, Rick, Judith, and maybe Carl.

It sucks for those on the west coast. The official Walking Dead page on Facebook posted the picture of Daryl carrying Beth with RIP as a hashtag literally two mins after it happened on the show.

I know! I'm on the east coast, so I saw the show, but that's crazy that they're posting that so soon. Hell, even my friends and I are talking about the show on FB without using names so we don't spoil it for anyone who's not caught up yet.

Emily Kinney crying on Talking Dead is breaking my heart. :csad:

Damnit, Emily Kinney is bringing the emotions...

My mom just texted me that Emily is making her cry.

Yea I am on the east coast too, but my friends on the west coast are pissed lol.

That's funny a Twitter trend is spoiling the death

Social media is just something you need to learn to avoid/tread lightly with when it comes to shows like these. It will either be a trending topic of twitter or someone will be posting about it on FB, esp since the network wants all those likes/comments and arent going to wait.

Aren't west coast peeps used to this already? Especially during finale eps of big watercooler shows like this and game of thrones? I've heard that they basically turn off their feeds, etc. for a few hours.

Emily crying on taking dead is making me have the feels. Screw this freaking show for making me sad on my birthday.. :cmad::csad::woot:

Is it just me or did kirkman completely dodge the guy with the dead fox on his head's questions about the CDC on the talking dead? I've been asking that since Eugene showed up.

He said he regrets the whole CDC storyline so no surprise he doesn't want to talk about it. Even though it is old by now, I still really want someone to ask why the hell they changed up Andrea so much from her comic counterpart.
