Just out of curiosity, what happens to you personally if the X1 does "come back"(for the record it won't), but you say "unfortunately". What happens to you, if it does. What do you lose?

I've admitted before that I am a fanboy, but I try to be a rational one. I'm not gonna sit here and talk **** and say things like oh Xbone is got such inferior hardware, lol @ the sales of it compared to Ps4, all these multiplats can't even do 1080p etc. etc. because I think Xbox is dope, there are certain things about last gen that I hated but I can't deny that it made itself a well established spot for gaming.

So... this question you're asking is a question you can ask to any fanboy in that, why do we care who sells better? We just do. We want to see our console of choice lead. Even though we are the ones emptying our wallets and pockets and don't really get anything out of it.

I can definitely SEE the Xbone spiking in sales and even overtaking the Ps4's lead, but I do not want it to.

Yeah I don't get the unfortunately thing? Are you financially invested in Sony? Or are you just a massive member of the SDF?

I have been saying a few years into this generation.. And unless someone screws up big time, I don't see there being a clear winner. MS may catch up in the US but I wouldn't be shocked if it stays behind Sony in the rest of the world.

I have both systems and I hope both are major successes. MS at least seems to be pushing Sony into putting out worthwhile updates.. MS has been on top of that. I also feel their Games with Gold program has been better than PS+ (at least on the PS4) since being implemented. Not that either have really put out anything to write home about.. Unless you count being able to get Injustice for 8 bucks.

Are sports fans financially invested in the teams they root for? No, but they still always want to see them win.

2 generations back, I didn't see Xbox doing anything to screw up, it's just that Ps2 had a whole lot more games. And last generation, the Ps3 had a whole lot of rough patches but the fact that it was able to at least tie with the 360 in terms of sales was an incredible feat.

Both systems ARE already major successes. The Xbone is not doing bad by any means, it's just that the Ps4 is doing a little better. And yeah, I'm quite pissed off that Sony isn't doing **** with updates that matter... yet

Oh I agree Pat, that deal was amazing. I think Sony one ups MS in regards to sales.. But MS has one upped them with free games. However ALL the free games have been undwhelming.

This week's Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale bring permanent discounts to the Xbox One's "top titles," while Capcom takes a hatchet to the prices of its various downloadable offerings on the Xbox 360.

From August 6 onward, Dead Rising 3, Ryse: Son of Rome, Forza Motorsport 5 and Kinect Sports Rivals will be priced at $50 - a $10 discount off of each game's launch price. According to Microsoft, this new price is universal, so you'll be able to pick up any of these games either at retail or through the Xbox One's digital store at the new $50 price point.

Capcom's discounts are much more impressive, as every game and DLC listed has been reduced in price by at least 50 percent. Highlights include Dead Rising 2: Off the Record for less than $7, Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara at $5.09 and the phenomenal Street Fighter 3: Third Strike Online Edition for only $3.74.

PS still gives better free games. But the sales for 360 have been great. For the past year or so, I've picked up some incredibly great games for anywhere from $5-$10.

I think he means he's felt the free games to start this new gen have been better on the MS side. IDK, i think they both have sucked personally.

Thats pretty damn slick. I tend to prefer the black consoles myself, but if I was looking to make the jump, id prob get that one. IDK, the stormtrooper feel is kinda baller.

I think I'm going to bite on the Sunset Overdrive bundle. It's a little earlier than I was thinking of getting a One, but I do think the console looks fairly slick. Kind of looking for a new Blu-ray player, too.

I think I would do the same. Im not necessarily hyped for SO, but getting the white console with that game included? Why not?

One of the reasons I hate my impatience, i always miss out on cool bundles.

Haha, what consoles have you purchased? The last console I got was my PS4(May), before that was my X1(Nov) and then I got my final 360 back in 2010.

Yeah, the One sticks out. It doesn't bother me if it blends or not so much. Right now the apartment I live in has a slightly tanned look, so both white and black are not going to blend.

I think he meant next gen, I did any way. Iv thought the recent PS3 free games have been pretty good and the games MS has handed out on the 360 haven't been too bad either.

ya, that's why I put angry emoticons there. why the **** does LAST gen get the real good games and ps4 is stuck with indie ****? not that these games are bad, but damn... come on

This gen just started. You can't expect them to be giving away essentially new games. It'd be nice, sure, but it's not realistic.
