I just think Spencer enjoys the industry he's in. Guys like Mattrick are plug and play corporate type guys. Not saying thats good or bad, but they don't necessarily come from a place of passion for what they do. How many times in an interview did you ever hear Mattrick talk about how much he loved his Playstation 3? Spencer has gone on record multiple times about how he has, uses and wants his PS4 to continue to evolve into a great system. Spencer just seems to really like the industry and to really have a passion for what he's working on. And in the end I think that'll help the entire industry. The Xbox brand will get stronger and with that it'll force Sony to keep innovating in their space. Either way, we are the ones that win.

Or it could just be that Spencer isn't an idiot and saw the current theme wasn't working and so he decides to do the complete opposite.

Mattrick was just terrible. The Xbox One was fundamentally flawed, and would have had to be changed anyway, but his attitude probably netted Sony a few hundred thousand Playstations.

probably a nice combo of both.....lol.

and yes....competition only benefits us consumers.

like, today, MS announced USB Media playback. Sony has yet to fully announce that ( hopefully it is part of the 2.0 update ).

But, just like with 3d Blu-Ray, as soon as MS announced that, Sony tried to one-up them by announcing/releasing the 3d Blu-Ray update first.

you can bet the number of people clamoring for media support on the PS4 will only grow louder now that MS has announced it. I wouldn't be surprised if Sony announces that feature sooner because of that.
 
Microsoft, I hate you, but I have to respect your smart (albeit they amoral) business moves.

Though for the record, that new Xbone is butt ugly. Seriously? Looks like one of those cheap skins you can buy on Amazon that has a 2 star rating.

Don't worry, I'm sure it will become the new standard.

Though you may have to wait a bit longer to pick up one that isn't fugly.

yeah....that's why I may hold off on getting an X1.

especially if they don't give existing X1 owners the option to upgrade your internal hdd ( aside from hooking up external drives ).
 
I really hope MS does a Witcher, or Arkham Knight or Gears of War console. Id deff like to have a "special" designed X1 that goes along with a franchise I enjoy. I might actually 'upgrade' if they did something like that

I can promise you they won't. Its not designed to be opened and messed with. Not, like the PS4 any way.
 
It's a very good deal. Though honestly, even white, I find the Xbone kind of ugly.

Though the circus ugly Call of Duty bundle makes it seem less ugly by comparison.
 
...I like the game. I'll probably get it. But that doesn't mean I want a console that looks like that.

I wouldn't want it if you gave it to me.

but doesn't that bundle come with a 1TB hard drive? I believe that will be another selling point as well

i'm pretty sure ghosts sold better on Ps4 than on xbone, which is a first for the cod franchise. things may go back to the way they were with this bundle helping.

If you were one of these CoD nuts you would. Just you saying "probably" about getting the game shows you aren't who this console is designed for, haha. MS knows the CoD market and like i said, those CoD dudes will eat that console up.
 
Hey, if they bundled this with a normal looking Xbone, with 1 TB HDD space, I honestly might get it.

But right now, I'm making the sign of the cross at that monstrosity.

True. Though honestly, a 100 bucks is a lot of money, and by that point I will have a PS4, so, 500 GB should last me a while.
 
Which doesn't seem like a very good deal, all things considered. Though obviously CoD has more cachet than... Sunset Override? So, that's part of the price difference.

But again, with CoD I'll be done with in a few months, then I have a circus ugly console in my living room for years to come.

...so you're telling me they're gonna have this bundle coexisting with a kinect bundle for the same price?

microsoft was pretty much giving buyers titanfall for free with its respective bundle, but I guess there's 2 gifts in the cod bundle so they couldn't make the 3rd one a sacrifice as well
