yeah. it may not be a straight price drop but rather a bundle with games or a gift card deal that gets it down to $400. I suppose it is possible on BF.

I heard that Amazon actually stopped selling the Kinect bundle. is that true?

Looks like. Weird.

Though I find the whole thing with the Kinect interesting. Not too long ago, you could buy a used Xbox One with Kinect for about 450. So... a Kinect cost 50 bucks used. But now they are selling for about 100 used.

I thought they were going to release some killer stuff for Kinect. I don't know why they promoted it so much and made it compulsory otherwise. Voice activation is really cool but not as cool as the option of saving $100 to many. Should always have been an option, unless they were going to release stuff that was unmissable.

I think it's a lot like the Wii U gamepad. Good idea, poor execution.

You also can't force developers to develop with it in mind.

True but their own huge exclusives should have shown/should show consumers and developers why this tech is so great. Otherwise it seems like a bit of a waste of time and resources.

yeah. and it will be a shame too if it doesn't.

price wise, value wise, and game wise ( and for some feature wise ), the X1 is a more attractive option than the PS4 this holiday season. if it still can't outsell the PS4, that shows you just how far marketing and (bad) word of mouth can go.

anyways......I'm starting to come around to the CoD bundle design. it has the feature I most want ( the 1TB hdd ) plus a free game ( one I wouldn't normally buy ). and now, it will be $50 off. I may just go for that bundle instead.

I do like Spartan/warrior themed things, so the Spartan helmet logo thing on the console is...........somewhat appealing? lol

I could always buy one of those skins later on to cover it up if I grow tired of the design. what matters the most is what's inside......lol.

with the $50 off going into BF, we could very well see such a deal.

now that the $50 off will extend till the end of the year, I'm going to wait till the BF ads leak to see what those deals will offer. $350 ( or $450 ) console + 1 or 2 free games of your choice + some other bonus would be great.

if the BF deals aren't worth it, I'll get either the ACU bundle or the CoD bundle before BF.

Well the black friday deals are going to be better than the blanket Christmas deal. It my be like a gift card.

I am curious if Sony will have any kind of response.

There will also likely be some buy 1 game full price, get one half off. Or buy two, get one free.

Sony will probably respond. but I actually hope they don't.

I really want the X1 to beat ( or at least match ) the PS4 this holiday. and I say that as a PS4 owner.

and yeah, I'm hoping there will be great deals on the games.
especially on new games, not just used. Buy 1 get 1 half off or Buy 2 get 1 free would be great!

if I get the console before BF, I'm going to hold off on the games until BF for the deals.

Basically save any major purchase until Black Friday, you will at least save 50 dollars, or get 50 dollars more in value.

That's a good question. Some deals continue until Cyber Monday, though many are only for Black Friday.

Honestly, Cyber Monday to me has always been kind of unreliable. Sure you might get a great deal, but it's not guaranteed. If you want to play it safe, go for Black Friday.

Well, safe as in, not missing out on the deal. Black Friday is very dangerous.

and in the last few years, the deals have actually extended to Thursday (Thanskgiving) night at some stores. the "early early" BF deals......lol.

and yeah......you do have to weigh the hassle and stress of dealing with the crowds when shopping on BF if you shop in person.

if you shop online, then you usually have to be very quick to snag those really good deals.

I like the deals that actually extend throughout the weekend following BF. less rush and stress that way.

that's why, I may actually get the console before BF and just get the games on BF if there are good deals. unless I get word that the BF deal will involve a free game or gift card.

I just hope the bundles like the ACU or CoD ones aren't sold out/hard to find by then.

those should be well stocked throughout the holiday season, yes?

I just kind of wish the face buttons had the letters colored instead like the standard controller. cuz I do like the way the colors "pop" on the standard one.

but I suppose I could always swap out the CoD controller for a standard one. I'm sure around BF accessories like controllers will go on sale, so I might pick up a standard controller, too.

My brother went out and bought the Sunset bundle. He was more of a Sony guy last hen but said can't ignore the price and he loves Insomniac. He also said he's only doing one next gen console this time.

I really think that 350 price drop is gonna work.
