IGN are doing it.

Can't wait for the reveal tomorrow,After E3 I can decide which console to get for the new generation..Even though I won't be getting one until next year when I get my tax return!

I have to be really careful about it since I'm only getting one new console this time and this new generation may be my last..Unless I ever finally have kids!

This time tomorrow!  :BA

Why is it your last Luis? Giving up gaming after the next gen? :csad:

I've been losing interest in gaming,I mean I still enjoy some certain games and all But my heart just isn't in it as when I was younger and I don't feel the need to get a bunch of games/accessories&all consoles anymore..Which is why I've gone back to renting games&only buying ones I know I'll truly be playing for a long time and only want 1 single(although I may keep my PS3 for a long time)new console for this new gen.

When PS5&Xbox 4 comes out it'll likely be about 10 years or so from now and so when I'm about 40 yo I may feel too old&tired for another gen.

Gotya. I think there are a few in the same boat as you. I've actually got all my child-like enthusiasm back for gaming since about 2006 after a gap of about 7 years (hardly played after the age of 21).

I personally haven't lost interest in gaming as a whole, I'm just very tired of the AAA style of game these days. They've all gotten so homogeneous.

I'm 35 and still probably play more 8-bit games than anything. I have a Wii and a 360 but I honestly do more downloads of smaller games than buying the AAA titles, which I rent moreso.

I think that's probably the direction I'm headed in at this point.

I'm the opposite. I download all the 8 bit nostalgia titles plus all the classics I missed but it's the best of Rockstar, Bethesda & Bioware especially on futuristic technology which gets me excited about gaming.

Don't get me wrong, I love new games as well. A great many of them. And I was actually more referring to smaller downloadable titles than 8bit classics (though I do enjoy them a lot).

It's just the spot AAA games are in right now... it's disheartening.

I agree, all the shooter cinematic games bore me as well. I still am excited for games like Watchdogs and unique games like that. COD Ghosts? Bleh.

Doesn't that vary by studio though? People don't get excited by the Call of Duty model because it doesn't push boundaries. But series like Mass Effect, GTA, Elder Scrolls, Battlefield & Uncharted I think will be in great shape when they eventually launch next gen.

Since this has turned into something of a video gamers AA, I wanna chime in. I've been falling out of modern video games since the PS3/Wii/360 generation began. I guess the excessive FPSers, abuse of DLC to withhold content (especially content already on the disc), gimmicky motion controls, the excessive catering to the dude-bro community of gamers from Sony & Microsoft and the excessive catering to soccer-mom-fad-of-the-moment audiences from Nintendo, the pitiful fall-from-grace of my once beloved Capcom...I've really gone from being a quote/unquote "gamer" to just treating it as a once-a-week hobby.

Ironically, its because of similar dissatisfaction with the current state of comic books that I decided to jump back into video games and try to respark that core gamer fan I lost. Right now, the only system I truly play is my 3DS.

It's probably another BS rumour (I definitely don't like the name "Now!" :csad:) but the rumour is that it has 12GB GDDR5 Ram (see above link) which would be more than PS4. It's also a lot more than any game will need or use for a long time. As long as both machines have at least 8 they'll be fine. I think I'd probably rather have 8GB and a better name. :woot:

I was looking up this rumor to see if there's more on it, and found two interesting points.

First, dev kits typically have more RAM than the final product. So 12GB's in a devkit could end up as 8-10GB in the final product. Some were saying devkit's get double the RAM, but with Nextbox running Windows 8, no way do I believe their going as low as 6GB. I think they'll match Sony with 8 personally.

Second, is if Kinect is integrated like rumors suggest. The Nextbox would need enough RAM for itself, and an upgraded Kinect 2.0. So given more allocated RAM for windows 8 and other new media functions, Kinect 2.0, and the Xbox itself, 12GB's might be just right. Of course if this route is true, I just can't see a sub $500 Xbox. Even if RAM has gotten cheaper, it's good RAM, and Kinect by itself wasn't cheap. We're talking the Xbox itself with good specs, + a $150+ peripheral tossed in.

Either way, I think both systems will be pretty beefy compared to other console generations (compared to PC's at the time they came out that is). I'm sure they'll be comparable. Though the rumors are painting a picture (that goes back and forth), more and more, that unlike this gen, one will have a clear leg up on the other. Maybe not a major power boost, but definitive enough to say one has better hardware. Where with this gen it was more muddied. Arguments of the 360 having more RAM vs PS3 having the better processor, equaling a stalemate in most arguments.

I have to work tomorrow. :( At least it will be there when I get home around 6:30.

At least e3 will be going on during my weeks vacation.

What spot is that?,I'm not sure what you mean and what's so bad about AAA titles.

Although personally the only AAA franchises I still care about enough to actually buy&truly look forward to the next game are Batman Arkham/Battlefield/Call of Duty(to an extend and mostly for my wife)/Grand Theft Auto/inFamous and Uncharted

So CoD: Ghosts & the next gen FIFA are going to be on show tomorrow. I don't know, if they're not going to be showing many games tomorrow (saving for the pre E3 reveal) due to time constraints then these 2 should have been left for later also.

Well they should show a few games as Sony did and these games will be shown tomorrow cause they'll probably have big timed exclusives like Destiny has exclusive PS4 content.

They should show a teaser trailer to a big first-party exclusive game though to get extra buzz going into E3 in a few weeks.

Gears 4!

MS should stop wasting money on stupid timed exclusives! Imagine if they'd saved all that money and put it to something that people care about like actual exclusives!

MS knows the largest video game base is in COD. So they will keep paying for the timed exclusives to win over the COD base. I still hope they show something good besides COD. Because Xbox will need at least 2 good launch titles you would think.

Halo Wars 2 would be great but I got a feeling they would not do a RTS for the grand reveal.

CoD & Fifa should have been saved for the Part II conference. They're huge games but with the strict timeslot which will mostly need to be dedicated to hardware & multimedia, if you're going to show games show something with an element of surprise or freshness.
