I'm not sure if they want that as they had the opportunity with pc and didn't really bother. Would be happy if they did it but wouldn't miss it too much if they didn't. I do think XBL will be the same for everyone though. The main thing I want is to be able to talk to friends on 360 while on the next XBox. I really hope this Skype thing is included. I used that to talk to a pc buddy while playing a co-op game and it was crystal clear.

Ah, kk got it. For a second I thought they already released it on this console and I missed the announcement. Yeah, my buddies and I use Skype for Diablo and Team Fortress.

And of course with Skype on XBox you can be in contact with anyone through your TV not just other XBox guys. I'd find it really useful. Hopefully this is mentioned next Tuesday.

More current gen than next XBox but something I've wanted for a while. I can't believe out of all the hundreds and hundreds of crappy TV channels I have access to there isn't one dedicated video game channel. And hopefully this gets rolled out to UK users soon enough..just US to start with.

Damn, that would be bad! Seems like something that they'd have known about a fair while ago though so if it was true it would mean they were willing to wait to have blu-ray be a part of the system.

the media the games play on is a pretty vital component of the system. It would be crazy if they dont have that all ironed out by now! Its kind of hard to imagine I wonder if MS would really delay instead of just making their own proprietary media

If there's a delay I'm pretty sure it will be a disadvantage for XBox this time. But it's most likely to have been a conscious decision made a long time ago rather than something that's just come up. Sure it would be too late to make any drastic changes to the media used now. So either they want blu-ray and would have consulted on licensing on that beforehand & decided it was worth the wait, or they would have started work on their own proprietary format ages ago (which I can't see being the case). Anyway only a few days till the conference and hopefully they tell all. I'd hope to know a release date indication at the latest by their pre E3 conference if not on Tuesday.
