The Xbox One

I highly doubt you'll see anything significant from them at E3 unless there's so much criticism of something they backpedal on it.

I'm talking more for games though, you can use a keyboard & mouse I believe on PS3's internet, however you can't use it for games. Mainly FPS's is what I'm thinking.

Actually you can use it on games, but it's up to the developers. I used it to play Counterstrike when it came to PS3. There's atleast 3 other titles I've heard of that use mouse and keyboard support on PS3, one of which is an FPS, Unreal Tournament. After googling, it seems Dust does, and I've seen mentions of an RTS, and an Assassin's Creed letting you design an emblem with a mouse (not sure on that one).

Ugh that used games is unbelieveably stupid, who in their right mind walks into the meetings and says hey guys I have a great idea, no longer can friends borrow games to each other. And then everyone else says ah yeah great idea screw them. Its just awful. Between that news and psbore. Looks like i'm going PC

Wasn't this conference suppose to be all about the hardware and what it could do? I thought all the game stuff was coming at E3. Why are so many people bashing them for this???

Kinda fig they just threw in a couple games to tease us with
Yeah but I don't think everyone knows that. If you'd just started watching that conference having not kept up with gaming news you'd be horrified at the thought of just CoD & EA for next gen lol. Even though they mention the 15 exclusives & 8 franchises within the 1st year of the new console, it's easy to miss and kind of been glossed over. If even 3 or 4 of those are good AAA franchises then the XBox with its multiplatform support is closing the gap if anything.

I've tried it on the PS3 & it didn't work with my particular keyboard & mouse. You have to buy a third party adaptor to get my keyboard & mouse working, which at the time was like $100.

I then tried a keyboard mouse simulator & it isn't anywhere near as fluid.

I tried these all on Call of Duty for the record no other FPS's as BF3 is strictly a PC game for me because of the graphical superiority.

Did they say how they came up with the name "xbox one"? It seems kind of ironic seeing as it's the 3rd xbox incarnation. Was it a play against PS4?

Yeah. I looked at the account and it seems like every comment is just a joke. lol It's really funny though, I wish it was him.
that would have been awful if it was bc it would only make him come across arrogant and that turned people off big time from Sony last gen. They and those in high positions shouldn't have that kind of attitude

its bc its mean to be ONE device. That was the whole point of their conference; the integration of all the media functionality in one box

That's odd, I just plugged in a USB Keyboard, and wireless mouse, and Counterstrike picked them right up. I didn't have to buy an extra adapter. It's only certain games that are supported though. Like I said, it's entirely up to the developer. PS3 has full keyboard and mouse support. It's just like with Move, or any other peripheral, it's up to the developer to add in the ability to use it.

I'm pretty sure it's a play on "All-in-one", that popped up at least once during the conference. It's an all in one box.

I've got a great idea for an X1 .gif. I'll make it when I get home from work and put it here :hehe:

15 exclusive games, 8 of which are new franchises. So what are the existing 7 games to be released in the 1st year?

And ironically the thing will still sell like hot cakes. The gaming nerds like us care more about it having to always be online than Joe Average Game Player does. And the kids won't give a **** at all.

Kinectimals
Kinect Sports
Kinect Adventures
Kinect Joy Ride
Dance Central
and 2 random XBLA titles

It seems like it's for updates and stuff. Like when he says the console is fundamentally designed to be expanded.

"Kotaku: If I’m playing a single player game, do I have to be online at least once per hour or something like that? Or can I go weeks and weeks?

Harrison: I believe it’s 24 hours.

Kotaku: I’d have to connect online once every day.

Harrison: Correct."

I wonder what happens if you are literally in an area without internet.

Yes, people who will buy a XOne and not have access to the internet are an edge-case, but it's still a possibility.
