Unless they switch to colors, like Xbox Orange, their numbering systems gonna be outta wack, heh. Though in all honesty, I guess they could just go to special names tacked on at the end of Xbox from this point on.

Sony is the only one that has used sequential numbers for their consoles. MS could just name the next one Xbox [subtitle] and be fine. It's what they've done here and the infinity symbol is just an 8 sideways as that's supposed to be referencing Windows 8

And if it's Infinity that ties in with that old rumour after the leaked logo...which also had the Infinity symbol like an 8.

I'm also fine with this name, better than Durango or just XBox and much, much better than Loop!

The logo yes which is from a while back. But this recent reconfirm of the Infinity name I believe is new and independent of that.

I'm sure they won't kill 360 Live support at next XBox launch or any time soon. Specs were rumoured to be similar to PS3, not GDDR5 RAM though.

MS CAN'T kill Live support for the 360 right away...Well...They can but I know a good bit of people that will be waiting a year on any new system...If MS kills the Live support right away then they'll go PS4. Some I know have already said this.

It wouldn't be smart for them to do.

They cant as people already have paid subscriptions for Live. They wont kill 360 Live support until they stop taking yearly subscriptions, which they havent done yet. If the next Xbox comes out and they stop selling subscriptions, then that will indicate a year from that point that 360 support will be ended. Besides the new CoD is coming out this fall and thats a money maker right there. It makes no sense to can it right away. That wont happen till at least 2015 or later

As long as they are taking subs it doesn't really need to end as it's being paid for. And why ever create an event where people would stop paying? Microsoft still have some games running online from 7 years ago that are not active so they don't seem to be in a rush to shut things down unlike some individual games companies.
