t:I love to read reviews and I really don't mind if people don't like MOS. I just hate comments like that where they clearly have no patience. It's just a shame that certain people don't care about the story they just wanna be eyef**ked for two hours. It's the Michael Bay generation.
How can you say something like that? Let's say the story sucks, or the pacing is off, the character development nonexistent, the acting wooden...what then? If you're clamoring for them to be reasonable, you yourself should take your own advice because neither you nor I have any perspective on the matter.

What are you talking about? Basically what I'm saying is I can't take an opinion of someone who wants two hours of explosions seriously. Also read the comment above they say no reason why they thought it was slow.
And I'm saying you can't assume that because you don't know. Nothing in their commentary states that they wanted two hours of wanton destruction, not even implicitly. So one of them wasn't impressed with the first half of the movie, is that not an opinion? That doesn't automatically mean that they dismissed the story, just means that whatever story there was, they(or one of them at least) simply didn't enjoy it. Whats so hard about giving them the benefit of the doubt? You're assuming that the story is good when, as I said before, you have no perspective on the matter.
Maybe I made an assumption but end of the day it doesn't mean I wasn't right with alot of today's world.
That's neither here nor there.Don't know why you're making such a big deal about it.
That's neither here nor there.
Ironic, because that was the point of my post - to ask you that very question.
^ Ugh. This character development is SO0000 BORING. I just want Superman to fight Zod without any reason![]()
t:Is it normal for a movie to have early screenings like this?
And are the reactions usually 100% positive?
Eh, I'm not worried. Even if character development in the theatrical version is rushed we know there's tons of deleted footage that will doubtless end up on DVD.
Agreed. I'm anxious to see the RT reviews tomorrow. Whilst the response to the pre-screenings has been mostly positive, alot is lukewarm, or just downright negative. It's successfully scaled right back my expectations of the film. ThePowerCosmic, Dajanksta, and Simo's reaction has been reassuring though.No... And the reactions coming out for MOS isn't 100% positive either. Actually, i'm hearing some comments here and there that really worries me! I hope these comments comes from dumb teenagers who was hoping for a standard Avengers kinda action film. We'll see.
He just noy and nor happy. I dont see why this no happy man always want to turf it out visual style for fight
I agree. Superman board for peace and happy good discussion of character and film. No of this bicker and tocker and argue to be useless

Ok, that's a pretty irritating statement for me to read. **** deleted scenes!!! This thing must be handled with care IN the actual movie. As in seen in the theatrical movie experience! NOT to be viewed in deleted scenes ones the movie comes out on bluray and dvd. That's just dumb... Not good enough.
I'll give one. Not a spoiler but:
There is a picture in the open discussion of Ma and Pa Kent holding a baby Clark (I assume). That's not in the movie at all.
Snyder said they had a 3 hour cut, so I'm sure they didn't just toss it out.
this happens so damn often!See this is what truly PISSES me off!! They show pics of stuff, and you build things up in your mind. And then it doesn't even make the final cut!this happens so damn often!
I don't wanma have parts of the film feeling rushed. I pray to god that it won't be, or this movie will partly fail in the sense that people won't be as rapped up in everything like they/we're intended to be!
God I hate all this freaken pre-hype, and thoughts from advanced screenings, tweets etc! They always manage to tear hope partly from each other because of their thoughts, making the film sound like it's not at all what it's hyped up to be. Pisses me off.
I hope echostation didn't suffer a head injury.![]()
If the film had that much extra footage that didn't make the theatrical cut, I'm sure there will be a directors's cut or extended edition. Perhaps it will release with MoS2 or something. The advantage of having shorter length movies( not that MoS is that short) is that you get more showtimes which mean more box office dollars. Of course if MoS tracks really well they could open up more theaters for it. I wonder how many theaters MoS is getting. Hopefully 4000+.

many things makes it seem like this one will maybe pull another superman returns on our asses. With that I mean in the sense that they will be rushing through parts and leaving a lot -WHICH HAS BEEN SEEN THROUGH PICS- on the cutting room floor! I can't stand that. It depends... if the deleted scenes were deleted because they don't work for the movie, has pace problems, etc, then I agree.
However, in this case, I think Zack was forced to cut down to a certain length which the Studio with it's statistical machine says is the limit to what movie goers will want to see... or, some other economic reasons..
If the latter is the case (and I am not saying 100% that it is), then we ought to be able to get a Zack Snyder's version in the BluRay... they can release the blu-ray carrying both versions...
Or, better yet, keep the 3:20 version to be released a few months before MOS 2... that would be great because everyone will have to go watch it again.. thus, making tons more money.. (Again, before you shoot me down, this is only if the 3:20 works and is what Zack decides is the best version)
if that movie was allowed to have a running time of 2:45 hours, I think it down right SUCKS that MOS isn't allowed to be any longer.
