And the reviewer says it doesn't touch Marvel, but is a good film in its own right.

Superman is such an iconic character it will be more polarizing than something like Iron Man. Then you layer on the action, plot changes, etc.

Yeah that's true. I guess I've just never been a huge Supes fan or payed too close attention, so there wasn't anything specific I was looking/hoping for going in (hat's why I think the GA will respond very positively to this film). I've always loved Spidey (being the only hero I've really extensively read the comics for) and Batman, and then have just continuously fallen in love with CBM's and superheroes as they've all been coming out over the past decade

I guess ultimately, from a GA perspective (which I don't usually like to call myself ha, but in this case I guess I am) it was an awesome movie

^Jahns review. Haven't watched it yet, but I trust this guy immensely.

I absolutely LOVE this guy! I actually subscribed to his channel months ago after seeing a couple of his reviews on the MOS trailers. After checking many of his vids, I tend to agree with his alot, very rational and to the point.

This Vid is his non-spoiler review, so don't be afraid to watch this vid, this guys on hyperboil through-out his reviews, very interesting in everyone of his vids! Actually loved his response to MOS, can't wait till Thursday!!!!!

Yeah, when you go into something that's labeled "Summer Blockbuster" then that means it's time for some ****ing ACTION! It's amazing how most of the peoples negative reactions to the first trailer was "meh, need more action" and that continued to the 3rd trailer and the T.V spots and it was the action that got the public on fire. We'll see. I think the audiences will speak loud and clear this time around.

Exactly. As people have said, I think the GA will speak for itself, regardless of RT. (although I'd be lying if I said I wasn't the kinda guy who reallyyy wants movies I like to get great scores ha)

As for you Devin complainers, he rather liked the movie. " Whatever problems Man of Steel has - and it has enough to keep it from being a cohesively great movie - it has enough good to make it a must-see. Like I said up top, a couple of thousand words ago, this is the Superman movie we’ve been waiting to see. The fact that it leaves room for improvement only makes me more excited for the next one."

Kinda annoyed to see RT already wrote the "census" on the movie with only about 40-some reviews and 3 days before the official release... that seems like a bold, presumptive statement to be making. I guess it's just my opinion, but I in no way thought this movie detoured anywhere near "generic blockbuster territory." It may not be the world's best movie, but that seems like a bit of an undeserving slap in the face

I love this part in that review.

Michal Shannon's General Zod has one mode, brutal. His character is all anger, all the time.

Reminds of Boardwalk Empire when he character irons a guy's face.

Man of Steel is another feather in the cap of Christopher Nolan. Zack Snyder has shown technical ac*men and style in his previous directorial work. Where he's gone astray is being too salacious. Nolan, as the producer and no doubt final cut, kept that in check. Their collaboration and Goyer's script has lead to a film that will be a real audience-pleaser. There's an awesome Easter egg in the final battle that will have you lining up now for the sequel. Not to be missed in IMAX or 3D.

^this part actually kind of ticked me off. Snyder is essentially given 2nd fiddle credit for this positive review...

It's not done just for Man of Steel though. Sofia Coppola's The Bling Ring had a census at just 32 total reviews. It was even rotten at the time, but it's now in fresh territory.

And they both have 7 out of 10 for average review rating. What in the world is going on? I'm really wondering if these reviewers actually pick if they want it rotten or fresh, because some of the 13 rotten actually gave decent reviews with 3 out of 5 stars. How is that rotten??? Just weird.

I know that happens a lot, but it just seemed weird to me to do that for a giant summer blockbuster movie like MOS, that's undoubtedly going to be seen by more people, and most likely have a lot more reviews, upwards of 200 potentially. Just seems a little premature for this kind of a flick is all

Yeah, but that's what is up in the Returns pic. 59% want to see it. It has to be a picture from back before Returns was released.
