No problem. I'm just getting nervous with. 8 days to go before I see it and I don't want to know anymore details . This thread is like a safe house.. A sanctuary from the storm of spoilers in the other threads.

Yep, I totally understand.

The REAL Jonah Nolan on TA-"I thought The Avengers was just an incredible achievement."

Maybe they just had the same name. ;)

He's wrong. It was awful. Plus it looked incredibly cheap and fake.

And I'm far from a Marvel hater.

Spider-man 2 is a great film, in my very humble opinion.

Just finished watching Man of Steel in 3D. It was pretty good. More action then story but still a good mix.

Small review: Man of Steel was so freaking epic! So much action, yet it has an actual story unlike a Bay movie. Finally Superman done right!

Just saw Man of Steel. I don't know what I'm allowed to say, but my god, it's incredible. Action and Man (of Steel), all in one. Speechless.

Critics choice is almost 3-4 points higher (but occasionally lower) than Rottentomatoes. So MOS will get around an 85 percent, just as I kind of predicted.
Critics choice awards 88/100

Okay. I guess you have very particular tastes.

Well, my biggest concern with MOS, is that the action will be like Avengers in that it is so CGI-driven and ends up being a cartoon with no weight. CGI is fine as long as it is mixed with practical effects. Michael Bay (Of all people) actually gets this. So does Nolan. When everything is CGI it takes me out of the movie. The Matrix sequels are really bad at this.

I don't hate CGI as much as Nolan.

Superman definitely requires a great deal.

And that's why people need to see it for themselves. Two people who enjoyed it yet have two different takes. It's going to happen, and that's also why people need to breathe over the next week.

That's the whole point.

You aren't supposed to see.
Bit OT but I believe Nolan or someone involved with the films stated the problem with the BBegins fight scenes was the suit was too cumbersome, which is why it was re-designed and fights worked better in TDK and TDKR.

Wayne pretty much says so when asking for the new suit, "I'd like to be able to turn my head."

@LouisVanAmstel @dexterxdexter @Sherry_1013 @nikkizeglen Saw a special screening of Superman: Man of Steel! Great movie! Lots of action!

Still processing my thoughts on Man of Steel. My first reaction was "I want to see that again." Take that as a good sign.

Nolan used too many wide angles for most of the fights in TDK, which made the action look "smaller". I'm not fond of the actual choreography in TDKR, but the camera angles were fine this time around. More OTS/medium close-ups that made the fights seem more personal and effective.

It's kind of curious. Part of me thinks, hmm SR was so boring that they almost went over the top in the action in MOS to compensate and let people know, hey Supes can actually be spectacular. Then part of me thinks, hmm we can't just have mindless action bang em up blow em up, let's tackle the bigger issue, first contact, what it means to be human, etc etc. Can't wait to see it for myself.

I thought the fights in BB worked because he is basically a ninja.

The chase scene in TDK is one of my favorite action scenes.
