Whatever it takes to get you in the theater. And if the movie is of quality, there isn't really anything to complain about.

We all know by now that the movie is going to be well received. :D
The only question is how well received.

Understand what you are saying, my point is TDK and TDKR were much more serious movie's then that of the Avengers, or any other Marval film.
TDKR involved a Fusion Device that didnt detonate for five months, giving Bruce Wayne plenty of time to recover and sneak back into Gotham, with no trouble at all.
I had trouble taking a lot of that seriously, but to each his own .

"The script is so action packed and fast paced that the relationship between Lois and Clark gets very little attention. Lois is reduced to a damsel in distress for most of the movie. I don't really mind this. I didn't come to Superman to watch him fall in love with Lois. I want to see him punch his way out of every situation. Some might fault the movie on this front, but I look at that bug as a feature. Less love story gives me less time to sigh and wish we were fighting aliens."

Why is it that this aspect of the movie is, in my opinion, receiving the most varied feedback? Some will see it and say Lois gets saved, but isn't close to a typical damsel in distress in the movie, while others will describe lots of proactive and helpful things she does throughout it. Some say the chemistry between her and Superman is palpable and effective, and we know they have several scenes together before they even kiss, yet somehow the relationship gets little attention? I don't get it. I realize it's not developed in the same way other Clark/Lois romances have been, but as a fan of these two characters and this relationship, these polarized reactions to Lois and Superman/Lois are starting to confuse and worry me.

If anyone here who has seen the movie could help give me some perspective on this, I'd greatly appreciate it.

WHAT???!! HUGE SPOILER ALERT!! :o :wow:

I thought Superman was going to lose and Earth would be the new Krypton with Zod as Emperor. Then a new Kryptonian would rise up with a following of rebels to take back what is rightfully theirs from the rule of the evil emperor Zod.

Game of Thrones style.

Confuse and destroy your audiences hopes and dreams.

I mean, did they expect a "Before Sunrise" kinda movie? Geesh.

^ Yeah, without BB we wouldn't have Casino Royale or Star Trek 09. Iron Man was said to be influenced by BB.

Someone posted these critics scores from criticschoice

David Freedman - 80
Kimberly Holcomb - 70
Bonnie Krebs - 70
Kylie Mar - 70
Kevin Steincross - 80
Edward Symkus - 90
Stephanie Webb - 90

Ok umm... Is anyone else noticing a theme with the female critics opinions that have been posted along with these three?

Yep. It actually gives me encouragement. I'm not trying to be sexist, but this IS a male-dominated genre, and I'd rather have the core audience be satisfied. :)

I'm sure many females will enjoy it as well.

Well, Stephanie Webb is female. and the only RT critic of the three (plus we are missing some, probably who submitted but aren't showing their score because some people would consider this breaking embargo

(If you thought what they did with that metaphor in Superman Returns was bad, oh boy. You're in for some treats.)
I really can't imagine how MoS would top SR in pushing the Superjesus angle (which I don't like). Cross pose imagery (already too much) and Grant Morrison-derived speeches won't make it so.

SR had a "second coming", a "passion" including beatings and stabbing in the side, a "sacrifice" with a cross pose, a "death-and-resurrection" effect, Brando intoning "my only son", and for the Da Vinci Code crowd a lover and secret child.

Still almost an 80 average, which is what I'm predicting for MOS to have. A 70-80%. Higher the better, however I don't think it'll drop below 70.

When William came into the boards and starting posting his thoughts (positive) we all bow down and worshipped him. Fonz comes in and has negative thoughts, we crucify him.

Typical Hype. Welcome to the boards, Fonz.

I'm not a big fan of campy comedies so I'm not going to go to a screening of The Internship. Maybe someone just gave him a +1 to see the screening -- so might as well go if it's free.

I once found myself at a screening of The Lizzy McGuire Movie because it was free. I barely remember the flick, but I remember they had free danishes.

You know if you are going to fake a review you can be a bit more subtle
