The Dark Knight Rises Tom Hardy as Bane IX

Again, I say look at the boots Hardy is wearing. Those are some hefty heels and they likely have some lifts inside them as well. If you look at his legs they have a pronounced forward lean, which is a characteristic of platform boot wearers.

batman has big boots so Bane also needs them

this is a normal 2D movie so using perspective tricks will not be hard. it should be piece of cake making him bigger.

I hope this "Bane doesn't need to be tall" nonsense will stop once we get confirmation that he will be taller than Batman.

You're setting up a false opposition. It's not a case of "People who think Bane should be taller than Batman" VS "People who think Bane should be shorter than Batman". It's more "People who think Tom Hardy's size won't be an issue and he'll look suitably physically intimidating in the final film" VS "People who don't."

i was against Joker and paint on the face. Nolan made a movie where it worked.

i will maybe not like Bane. but after BB,TDK and Inception Nolan deserves to realese hes vision on the screen before i judge it.

I like this image.

i like the part where Bane blocks Batman hand. its the classic badass shot where the villain blocks a punch. amazing

I thought the argument over Bane's size would have ended when the final shot of the trailer clearly showed that Nolan knows how to use the perspective to enhance it.

I love the image where Bane appears to be lifting Batman up by the neck.

Indeed. What we don't know is whether Nolan's Bane uses Venom. If so, it could be that he grows in size when he uses it.

I honestly don't see why people are freaking out about his size, between the teaser and the pics of batman's up close encounters with Hardy's double, Bane is clearly much taller judging by his double.

One little Bane moment I love from watching subarus video is at the start when we see Bane go up the stairs. You can see his obsession/determination just wanting to get to Batman. And then he kicks a guy away like he was made of paper or something and starts walking towards Batman and engages in the fight!

Whoa, watched it again. That's Batman he is kicking at the beginning, even more awesome!

 It worked for Keaton :woot:

I wasn't even aware that they tried to use forced perspectives to make Keaton look taller, he always looked too short to my eyes.
Look at that laughably bad shot in BR, when he walks past Gordon on that walkway, trying to hide the fact he is shorter than Gordon, looked terrible and forced, made it all the more apparent he was a midget.

There is another photo over at aicn where both Batman and Bane are standing face to face, with neither crouching(Batman crouching in that above photo), Batman looks slightly taller than Bane there.
I don't see the big deal in the height issue, as long as Bane is not a midget.

It is only the cowl that makes Batman taller in these pics. If this is Hardy and not his stuntman then he is wearing some pretty hefty lifts.
