While I fully agree with you in theory, Bryan Singer DID cast a wrestler as Sabretooth so Triple H would not have been too far off.

Would have to totally agree with u on this Gianakin. He looks badass in the pics but scary is hardly the word, more like an adversary that will give bats a run for his money. I love the recent comparisons to Jason Vorhees from the teaser he looks to be lumbering Around in the same fashion which excites me, an unstoppable creature nonetheless.

He had about 8 lines in the whole movie. He might be a good actor, but Sherlock Holmes didn't really allow him to show off his talent. He was just the big, nigh on invulnerable henchman.

Which is what some fear Bane will be. Minus big.

Yea, and that was Sabertooth in name and look only.

Liev Schrieber, whilst not looking like Sabertooth, was a much better Creed, personality wise etc. Pretty much the only thing that piece of crap movie got right.

Yeah, what I saw in the promo pic and in the last shot of the teaser was one hell of a Bane. And that's what I care about. Spy pics are just to inform us of who's there and what's going down more or less. They give us nothing more.

Bane does look scary, the only problem is, he looks small. Still, I doubt he's going to be that small in the final film.

When I look at those shots I can tell immediately they'll be using camera tricks and SFX to make Bane appear bigger. The sleeves are a dead giveaway (and perhaps an indication he'll make himself bigger with venom). The sleeves are going to mask his actual size which will make it easier to manipulate his apparent size in relation to Bale. I wouldn't be surprised if they pad the inside of those sleeves. These pictures are just from a regular camera so I wouldn't use them to appraise how he will look onscreen. Reality and film are two very different animals.

Also, arms are a great way to make someone look bigger. Actors tend to place a lot of emphasis on arms and chest

I understand Nolan has taken his liberties with these films, and so far they have worked out well (and it is a different universe than the comics) but that doesn't mean we have to just flat out accept it like drones does it?

Thats not the way you should describe it, and I would not say its accepting its like drones. After what he did though with Begins and especially the Dark Knight, Nolan gets the benefit of the doubt. I like, alot of others trust him.

I've been a martial artist for a decade. I'm 5'10" and about 200 lbs. I've brought down men who were 6'5"+ and even a man who was 525 lbs. (whom held a black belt). Likewise, I've been brought down by men and women significantly smaller than me.

Especially in the world of martial arts, size doesn't matter. Period. If my opponent doesn't know how read my movements, evade them, and counter them, then he can benchpress 500 lbs. twenty times without losing a breath, I'm still going to stomp his ass into the ground.

I agree but never underestimate the Hype's ability to dwell on things. They'll dwell on this until the end of time
