Bane as a tragic and villain? Hmmm... What is going on in this movie?!

Bane has always been a tragic villain... unlike the Joker. The stories of Batman and Bane will be a great juxtaposition throughout the movie, especially since they both have a connection to the LOS. Each ended up on opposite ends of the spectrum. I love the Darth Vader analogy Nolan and crew are obviously going for.

One major detail I forgot to say from yesterday, the man with the microphone (I believe it was the AD) was giving us direction about what to do when the explosions go off and Bane emerges from the tunnel, and said that Bane was part man, part machine.

I don't know if this is something that has already been confirmed, but it may explain the voice, the grunting and odd noises, and that the facemask is keeping him alive. That might be the reason he sounded in pain the entire time.

I read a theory that they combined an element of Batman Beyond's 'Stalker', who also specialises in hunting Batman and has a scar down his back from being fitted with a cybernetic spine. (because his back was broken in 5 places, funnily enough.)
Some kind of weird cybernetic surgery could even explain an expanding body... maybe.
